Hello!

I've been wanting to join an art cult and couldn't really find one, so I figured I would try my hand at making one :3 I'm hoping there are others who would love to join me ^_^

Behind the name - I've always considered art bringing my imagination to life, and making it a reality.

Here are some of my thoughts:

This cult would be open to people of all artistic levels, from beginners to more advanced. It will be a place to help encourage and practice your chosen art form. Main thing is to get out of those comfort zones and improve!

It would be about a lot of different mediums: Traditional drawing, digital drawing, writing, etc. I only really know drawing, so having others join who have interests in other art forms would be great.

I was thinking about a quick and simple application consisting of showing any work you have done in the past month. No quick and simple scribbles... I mean real sketches, finished pieces, story notes, etc. I was also thinking about, at least, a post requirement that should be met. It would just be a thing to make sure that there would be people looking at the threads and seeing if anyone needed help, or to encourage discussion.

Some activity ideas:

Constructive Criticism section - a place where you can post asking for help, or someone could create their own thread giving critiques all in one place.

Art exchanges and contests.

Monthly Prompts - These would also be posted with related tutorials. There would be multiple prompts for various art forms, for example: A perspective prompt for drawing and a poem prompt for the writers. These could also have a theme attached if a certain month calls for it, like October is all about Halloween :P

Daily Scribble/Note - Nothing finished, just literally brain spews to share. Only for those interested. It is just to encourage practice and getting in the habit of working on it everyday. Practice, practice, practice :P Or even working on a larger project and working on it a little bit each day would work here.

Don't have to create art specifically for the cult either. Basically share whatever you want.

A member section - Members could have their own posts linking to galleries, etc. This section could be broken up into subforums for artists, writers, etc.

I'm currently working on some off site forums for better organization of all these topics too =) Could have an irc as well if it is really wanted. Maybe a common livestream thing too? I don't know much about those sites though...

Right now I am focusing on drawing and writing, but more can be added if it is requested!

Multi-cult members are perfectly fine too.

Is this something that anyone would be interested in joining? Or help me run it? Any other ideas would be much appreciated too ^_^
