What are some of your favourites?
Mr. Widemouth: http://www.creepypasta.com/mr-widemouth/ Ben Drowned: http://creepypasta.wikia.com/wiki/BEN_Drowned
Hmmm hard to pick out... Mine would have to be Smile.jpeg I think its called? And Darn I cant ever remember the name of the other one but its where this guy finds an old laptop with a little girls game on there and then he watched a video of a girl losing her mind on camera?
xD
I stink. Havent dipped into those in awhile. Used to LOVEEE creepypastas!

Always adored this one: It has been reported that some victims of torture, during the act, would retreat into a fantasy world from which they could not wake up. In this catatonic state, the victim lived in a world just like their normal one, except they weren’t being tortured. The only way that they realized they needed to wake up was a note they found in their fantasy world. It would tell them about their condition, and tell them to wake up. Even then, it would often take months until they were ready to discard their fantasy world and please wake up.
And almost any of the cryptic stories Saya in Underworld posts! She has some wonderful stories. Not exactly creepypasta but some nice creepy stories anyway! Her cryptic ones are nice because they're not always about what you originally thought - theres sometimes some disturbing detail just baaarely hiding there. :)
My favourite is definitely Goat Man...that one left some residue in my life for a couple months :)

Not my favorite, but definitely the creepiest imo, is the normalpornfornormalpeople dot com. so scary.
Haikyuu obsessed

I'm a sucker for good video game creepypastas like Sonic.exe and stuff! But my ultimate faves would have to be Slenderman and Mowgli's Palace (really good disney one that is!~)
I had to quit Creepypasta after I read an extremely detailed haunted house story that ended up portraying the layers of hell and trapping the main character forever. I felt like I was going to puke afterwards.
My favorite was the story that spanned over around 15 separate posts or more and was eventually made into a book. It's called Penpal by Dathan Auerbach. The author insinuated that it (may) have been based on true events of his life. He didn't clarify even after his story was published in book form. Either way, a great read if you can dig it up on reddit or if you buy the book on Amazon; it still makes the hair on the back of my neck stand up to this day.
The Smiling Man is quite short and simple, but it's by far one of the creepiest stories that I've read recently.
If you're into Creepypasta and podcasts, then the NoSleep Podcast has a generous selection of free story readings to listen to. Some of the content can be hit or miss, but it's generally alright if you want to hear something spooky. My favorite episode so far would have to be The Whistlers (be warned: it's quite long).
Another great audio/video Creepypasta choice is TheLittleFears YouTube account, which has genuinely scared me at times. The narrator does a great job of mixing simple scenery with a strange, discordant soundtrack while she reads stories in a deceptively calm and soothing voice. There are no jump scares, so it's not cheap thrills, either.
I truly do love Creepypasta, so I'm always on the hunt for stuff like this!
"It walks on ceilings" still makes me shudder. I'm always paranoid of waking up in the middle of the night and seeing something staring at me from the ceiling :P Other than that, anything that involves someone hiding under a bed in a realistic scenario, not a monster.

Borrasca is definitely my favorite. It's just so... ugh. It's not even that the ending comes as a surprise or anything, but I think having that feeling in your gut that the ending IS what you think it is, is what makes it so horrible.
this is not a good thread for me to be reading at 12:25am... hoo boy...
I've been reading this really great series that someone has been posting on the nosleep subreddit. It's about a forest ranger that has a ton of super creepy stories. They honestly keep me up at night. Their tumblr account is called searchandrescuewoods, if you want to read them. I highly recommend them!
Borrasca is a great story. Should not have read it at 2 AM but that's beside the point. There is so much attention to detail in that story that it hurts.
Candle Cove. The last line freaks the shit out of me.
Oooh! Mine is definitely the Russian Sleep Experiment :D
and the one...argh, it's animated, but I can't remember the name of it.
It's Japanese/Korean, and there's a woman in the middle of the road, that's about all I can remember. I wish I could remember more!
Edit: Russian Sleep Experiment Bongcheon-Dong Ghost (Thank you, Arkham!)
Are you talking about the Bongcheon-Dong Ghost comic?
I discovered another story that I really like called Uncle Gerry's Family Fun Zone. It's pretty interesting and the ending left me wanting more and I have so many theories about what really happened. haha
Yes! That's it! That scared the crap out of me the first time I read it!
Same here! xD I knew what was supposed to happen when you read it, and I was so scared that I turned the sound off and turned on NoScript so the page wouldn't autoscroll, and I still freaked out anyway. Looking at that face still gives me the creeps. lmao
