What are your favorite things about fall? 😊

I for one like the cooler and colder weather (Yes, I'm strange I actually like the cold!) and apple cider and caramel apples. Not a huge fan of the whole pumpkin spice crazy, especially the PSL.

Fall is my favorite season. What don't I like about fall? Not much, lol. The only bad things are the fact that we're directly under a major starling migration route (they perch around the house, on the wires, in the trees, and shit on everything for a good month) and the bugs that start coming in the house, ick.

But I love the festivals (went to one today - it was awesome), the food and drinks (cider and donuts ftw), the pretty colors of the leaves changing, the cooler weather, getting to wear jeans and cute sweaters again, going to orchards and getting apples, my birthday on November 6th (lol)...

Autumn is my favourite time of year! For me, I always feel like it begins when Starbucks offers the pumpkin spice latte, haha! It's a very exciting time of year, a time of change and of celebration. I love the build-up to everything that is to come (Halloween, Bonfire Night, Christmas) and the changes in weather and fashion. I have to second 's comments about it being a nostalgic time, too.

I love Autumn. It's one of my favourite seasons. I like watching the trees change colours and I especially love the sweet smell coming from the rotting leaves. I like apple cider and pumpkin spice tea. I enjoy the cooler weather and I love to wear sweaters! I also like the sound of leaves crunching under your feet.

Ooo! The perching and bugs I wouldn't be fond of either!

I'm happy there are so many users here who like fall! I don't feel so alone now lol 😛 as all my friends looooove the hot, hot summer.

Apple picking is always fun, and Halloween is the greatest (especially the Halloween movie line up!)

In my country is actually spring now XD ... But I love the colored tree leafs! And the fact that it's about 68F, so it's a colder than usual. Here the seasons are not well defined, so I just notice those points!

Holiday spirit, apple cider, and pumpkin pie/spice everything. The absence of insects. Hoodies and snuggles. Hot cocoa on a chilly afternoon, huddled in blankets playing video games while the winds blow. The sound of leaves rattling and scraping the pavement as they are blown down the street. The slight bitter sting of crisp air late at night. The looming silence as the winter months draw near.

Its so scenic, I love fall.

Being able to turn on my oven without suffering from the heat. Sweaters. Visiting the farmers market and it's not hot. I find the pumpkin spice craze kind of hilarious actually. I love it. I'll gladly eat pumpkin spice anything. What I find so funny about it is that it legitimately is like the general base spice mix for almost all 'spice' baked goods. Give or take one or two, if you're ordering 'spice' anything any time of the year you're getting most of that base mix. :P

Cooler weather and hopefully getting to wear a sweater. Unfortunately it was 90F (32C) here today and I doubt it's going to get cooler any time soon.

But really I love sweaters, they're so cozy, I wish I could wear them all the time. Drinking some hot tea on a cold day is nice too.

Oooh, nice thread! I actually love all the seasons for different reasons ^.^ Nature has done a wonderful thing there.

After a hot summer of swimming and running around and sweating, it is o nice when the weather is gradually getting colder, it's getting darker and everything is calming down a little.

Sunny autumn day walks in the forest are the best! Then you come home, maybe a little cold, and hop into the most comfy clothing. Sweaters, Jumpers, long Pajamas.. Instead of long nights outside, you stay at home in the evening with a blanket, a nice cup of hot chocolate or tea and a book / movie / game. And candlelight! And it is so much easier to sleep and rest well when it's not too hot for your blanket.

Oh, and it is finally time to get back into the kitchen. In summer it is so often too hot to cook, so you end up with a salad or barbecue. But in fall I can finally start to make soup and stew again. And baking cookies / cake / muffins ...

Aaaand the holidays are around the corner. Decorating the house and making plans ... So great.

The smell of things decaying in the forest. The changing of the colours in nature. Candles. Halloween. Feeling more spiritual than in the summer. Dark evenings. Being able to sleep under a blanket without sweating. Rainy/misty days. Warm drinks.

It's funny how so many people associate pumpkin foods with fall. I've NEVER actually eaten pumpkin pie or pumpkin anything, really, it's just not a thing here in Finland. I'm definitely going to make all kinds of pumpkin foods one of these days.

I like fall fashion and the colour orange. And all the foodish holidays that are packed into the fall months. Foooooooood. Blankets yes. Excuses to stay in and watch movies yes. Less sunlight yes. No obligations to shave? God yes. Fall/winter is generally better than spring and summer, all spring and summer holidays are so stuffy and require so much of you, blegh. I'm from a state where it doesn't snow at all so I tend to lump Fall and Winter together, hence my mentioning holidays.

I know this sounds stereotypical white girl, but pumpkin spice everything. So good. And the trees as they change color. Just the overall feel you get during this time of the year is pure love.

I know that things can really get rough when you go it alone, don't go thinking you gotta be tough to bleed like a stone. Could be there's nothing else in our lives so critical as this little hole.
