I clicked on edit profile and then and a comment but there is nothing about colors. Can someone tell me how i am probably missing something obvious.

If you're talking about the generic color schemes, add a 'profile' widget under 'edit my profile.' Then click on the pencil icon to edit it, and the 'scheme' dropdown menu will give you color options. :)
