Hi hey howdy, long time no post ^^;

So in an effort to find some sort of creative stress reliever for school (and brush up on my CSS, which, weirdly, I'm using for classes--whod'a thunk) I'm semi-coming back from a hiatus to work on a new OC Pet, Cararthur. You can find some basic information on his profile, but basically, he's a wizard in 1920s England.

Some of his magic abilities include Alchemy, Necromancy, Elemental magic (water, specifically), basic/practical magic (like Charms in Harry Potter) and summoning spirits, as well as anything astronomy related. So anything having to do with these topics would be awesome, but I'm also looking for items that represent his era too--so like, the tech boom of the 20s or other world events. I have some stuff for his TC already, but it's still pretty bare and I haven't been on in so long, I don't know where to start. (also, because I know it'll be suggested, I already have the Jazz Age trunks planned :p )

[EDIT] Also! I almost forgot--I'm looking for the perfect cat-like minion to be his familiar. Technically it's supposed to be both black and white, but I'm also open to minions of one or the other color if it has the right look. (Think less cutesy, more mysterious/snooty)

I just wanted to say that this is one of the coolest and most creative character ideas I've seen! (Also he's very handsome! I love the look of dark hair with white at the temples~)

I don't know much about the 20s unfortunately, but I immediately thought of Aleister Crowley and H.P. Lovecraft as sort of wizardy fellows alive at the time. Also Nikola Tesla! You might look at them for ideas. My pet Fhtagn has all (or most) of the site's Lovecraft-related items in his TC, and most of them are water-related.

I'm not sure which trunks you already know about, but there's whose outfits seem to fit the time period. Also . Sorry if you were already aware of those!

I didn't even think of Lovecraft or Crawly! I think Crawly/Tesla are a little more fitting than Lovecraft (though I do love me some Cthulhu mythos--and awesome job on Fhtagn btw!)

And OMG THAT RADIO IS PERFECT! I knew subeta had an old-timey radio item, but I couldn't remember what it was called/it never showed up in the search. Thanks bunches! All those are great ideas :D

My pet Vincere has a farm boy / fire mage - themed TC and Shantay has some death and water magics, you might find something useful in their TCs.

Oh weeeeee!!! I'm so glad you are back! Cararthur is such a darling! Is Hiddleston the human reference? I think a lot of items has already been covered here, Schwarz might have some magic related items, and Gloom was from that era...

hehehe you know me too well xD I'm pretty happy to be back-ish too! if only because I'm really really really REALLY determined to actually, you know, finish at least one pet :x And I got some great ideas from Gloom's TC, so thank you! I thought it was under the 2015 tab in the Menagerie, but either it's not there or I'm going blind (which could very well be the case--though I did a 'find word' search on the page and Radio didn't even come up :c ) Thanks guys!
