I don't know. Are there tests online that come close to what jobs people might be interested in? or is there a secrete list somewhere that tells what most jobs descriptions are? I have taken a couple tests offline and I didn't like the results/accountant and clerk. I mean that might be interesting for some people, but I kind of want to be free/not always stuck in an office, idk. I think the hard part is that most outside might be social and while I'd like to be social and trying to learn to be, I'm just not quite there yet:P It feels like there is a sea of jobs just waiting for me to explore! Just..where is the life boat to motor to them?xP

There are so many jobs out there, it's ridiculous! Honestly, I'd say that using tests can only get you so far. There's no way it's going to be able to pinpoint the specific job you'd be best at. I'd use it more as a guideline to get you started.

So we can start with accountant/clerk. You also want to be outside of an office. There's a good start. Are there any other restraints you're in need of avoiding or filling at this point?

Oh I see! Well construction would be out/not so great with wood n metal. Maybe something with finding facts/investigation/problem solving..I've been told my interests lie somewhat in that line.

Honestly I don't really put any stock into job tests. If you focus on what interests you and what you're good at then you can't really go too wrong? Like regardless, you'll gain a lot of good wisdom and experience pursuing any job. Start with things you like/things you're good at. You'll have a sturdier concept of what you'll want to do after having tried a few different fields.

For example, yeah clerk/accountant seem kind of boring but the social aspect is super big in those kinds of scenes. Work politics and etc. Though to be fair they play a big role in a lot of different places. But if you have a good typing speed, having Microsoft Office knowledge, are fast on your feet and with work given to you, and know how to act, it's a great place to start and move up into bigger and better things. Being a secretary for a CEO and etc is actually a fascinating job and requires a lot of out of the box thinking and research.

Another would be starting at customer service (I don't know if you've done this already) but if you're good and what you do and an opening shows up you can easily slide into a management position.

I do know there are a lot of interesting/odd jobs all around. You can take a security class and become a night guard. I know there are classes to take to become a Private Investigator. You can get a lifeguarding license. A medic license. The whole world is open to you :) try to take a look at what you think you'll like best and throw yourself into it. If you don't like it after half a year, you can always choose something else!

-I'm kind of battling a little bit of depression, so I'm not sure that's the best way to help me get social. I have been told that maybe if I go to a store I should ask questions to the staff about what aisle this is in or cashier like if their might be a sale coming up or something.

:) Don't afraid to switch jobs. A lot of the time, the skills that you learn wherever you start, will be valuable to where you end up. Of what you learn, nothing is wasted.

And oh me too haha. Customer service would definitely be kind of trigger-y depending how severe your depression is. But yeah, definitely! Start small and build yourself up! Take a look around indeed.com and CL along with spending a day wandering the area and looking for Now Hiring signs. You can even ask an employee what their job is like and see if you want to apply :)

Best of luck!

I did a job test a few times and they all told me to become a teacher...which I didn't do because I'm not really social. I can be but it's hard for me because I'm shy. It takes long for me to warm up to someone to open up for real and I can't handle children for too long except for my little niece and nephew. Besides I would have been really terrible teacher. Bribe me with a big cake and I give you a 10. (Just kidding).

Instead I became an accountant which makes me happy. Its fun and challenging in many ways but the downside of it, it can be boring if you have to find one stupid dollar and it's no where to be found. (Been there, done that and not fun). If you do want to give it a chance then find a place with people who're willing to give you a chance and learn you things, like being an intern. That will give you a bit of an idea. (Not only for this but also for other jobs that might interest you. You will be surprised how many people are out there who are willing to help you).

Most important of all do something you love and not something you get out of those test. Try to find something that interests you and if you don't like it then try something else. From experience I know it hard and something I still fight with every day (I have a depression as well). I doubt my choice still and I like being an accountant, but I also love being creative so I signed myself up for a study of DTP (which I finished it a few days ago). But I didn't like it sadly but now I know this I can move on to find something else that does interest me. Maybe something else where I can use my creativity.

(Okay this post become long so I stop here but I thought I share my story with you because I have been in the spot you are now and still am).
