I'm so sorry, I'm not sure what language these are from and I don't want to be insensitive by guessing:

On my pet's page. I have never thought to ask. It was a tattoo my dad did on someone. I'm curious if anyone could tell me what is says?

At the temple, there is a poem called "Loss" carved into the stone.
It has three words, but the poet has scratched them out.
You cannot read Loss, only feel it.

Maybe you'd happen to know?

The most helpful piece of knowledge I have is that the writing is not Korean, if that narrows it down a tiny bit. Terribly sorry to hear about the loss of your father, . Being a tattoo artist must have made for a crazy and interesting life.

It's Chinese. (Could also be kanji). I believe it loosely translates to "fearless"

It's mandarin. It translates to loosely no fear or as Norther said, Fearless. It looks like it's probably simplified Chinese though since I read some mandarin and didn't recognize the characters at first since I'm used to reading traditional.
