Only fun for those who can hover around the trading company page and refresh every minuet for hours on end. No chance for the rest of us

I've been refreshing pretty frequently between doing some study (this is one of my two days off a week) and not seeing a thing, BUT, I JUST GOT SOMETHING FINALLY YDSYAJKHDJSKAHKJ. I mean, it's an old item, but things are looking up for the future!

I thought they were supposed to be going out through Drunk Carl's quests, too? I haven't gotten any new pirate items from him, so I'm guessing @ amber got swamped with work again and forgot to add that in.

I know you can also vend the new items from the Ocean Depths machine, but they seem to be pretty uncommon there, too.

it is all just hype of the moment. don't sweat your butt over it. not worth the effort. the way subeta run, pretty sure something better will come along that require way less effort. use your time to earn some real life money and go buy different flavors of ice cream. way better than this :)

I managed to get a few new items from the store but that was during my day off so I'm pretty much done trying to get anything until next weekend. :/ Hopefully they'll put some items into rotation with Carl's quests but at this point you either have to be really lucky or have the motivation, time and ability to sit in front of that shop and refresh a billion times. Not fun.

Which is nice for those who can get them, I guess. I've been here just over two years and I think I've gotten... one map piece? At this rate I'll be in my thirties before I'm allowed into the Omen Islands.

You're never gonna get the full set if you wait for the random events. I went through shop search just now and added the map prices together - you can buy the full set for roughly 6m, if you buy all the map pieces individually.

Questing every day nets about 1-2m, and that's not counting the profit from the items you can sell. If a user put some effort into it, they could easily earn enough for the map in a week.

I read through all 250 or so comments on the news post and I do believe Amber stated Carl will be giving out the items, however "it's only been a couple of days".

I can't get there atm either anyway, so EH. Haha.

You can get items via quests, got a Purple Piractopus Beanbag from Alexander last night, and a Goblet of Youth from the coin machine

@ Mortician Yup, on an event that lasts 10 days to begin with. :P That's my main beef with this - Carl should have been giving the items out from the start. If you check the admin forum posts, Amber mentioned on Saturday that Carl will be giving them out.

Ah, I get it now. xD Thanks for explaining! I know you and the rest of staff have a ton on your plates with the holiday season getting in gear proper and the monthly themes, so I thought Carl just slipped out of the picture like a pirate ninja. Glad to hear that's not the case!

I guess i should probably get that 6 mill together then and get myself access to the omen islands. Carl will probably be my only shot

can we fight the other npcs too? I'm bored again.

is it getting harder to get things? ;) I've seen the restocked notice 3 times with nothing in there and refreshing often.

You can get them from other quests too, I got my Plundered Omen Islands Warrior Wall Scroll from Maleria.
