I think it'd be cool if you could add beanbags, plushies, trading cards, etc. to your friends' collections like you can with stickers. Any thoughts?

As long as doubles aren't allowed, like they are with stickers, I'm indifferent.

But like, you can just send them the items instead and say they're for their collections if you 100% want to do it either way

I guess this would be ok? (though I personally don't want other people putting items into my collections....) But I don't know if implementing a change like this would be worth the effort. If people want to add items to your collections, they can just send you the items directly.

They could, you're right! There's always a risk that someone is going to turn around and sell the gifts you give them. But if they were into collecting, I doubt that they would sell it. And if they aren't into collecting... well then why would you want to send them collection items to begin with?

Honestly, the sticker collection is my least favorite for that exact reason. I recall when that feature was released, it was touted as a way to make the userbase a bit more social. I don't actively participate in anything related to stickers, so I can't speak for how effective it has been, but I'm not a fan.

Ahhh, that makes sense. I can see how they wanted to use the sticker system, but it is a little frustrating not being able to add stickers to your own collection.

10k, really? That's a little ridiculous... but I guess it does help encourage the whole community aspect.

People had been asking for a way to add your own stickers for a looong time, personally I prefer to pay the 10k than to have other people add my stickers. There's also a chance to get an exclusive sticker by using the Hustler to stick your own

I totally understand people wanting a way to add their own stickers. I guess if stickers were my first priority right now I'd probably use the Hustler too.

i'm not into this idea personally. beanbags, plushies, etc are not things that can be "stuck" to someone like stickers can be, so it doesn't make sense that people would be able to stick them in other people's collections. if you want to give people those things as gifts, you can just put those items in a gift box and send them over to the person. and honestly, i think it would take away from the bragging rights of collecting those items when people aren't doing it themselves. beanbags, plushies, etc were not meant to be a community thing like stickers are, and i don't think they should be.

It's an interesting idea, but if this were implemented I'd rather have the option of whether to allow people to place items into a user's various collections or not. I myself would probably be fine with having this as an option since I'd be adding any gifted collection items to my current collections anyway, but some people may prefer not to have this as an option if they aren't big into collections. Better they sell a gift to buy something they'll truly enjoy rather than be forced into keeping something that is relatively useless to them.
