As all of you know by now, I have been having issues with my downstairs neighbours on their level of noise they emit. They usually play their music and TV loudly. It's been horrible during these past two weeks, so last night, I called the police again. I called them at 4:30pm and they finally arrived at 10:15pm while the noise was still going. The police spoke to me last night and said they gave them a fair warning and the next time I call in, they'll come out and give them a ticket and if it happens again after that, they'll remove the source of the noise. They also said that my neighbour told me if there was a problem to go down and talk to her (she never talks to me because she's pissed off with me that I keep calling the landlord on them).

I called my landlord today and he said he already knew that I called the police because she called him and that she was very upset over what happened. He said that right now, they could be facing a $1000 fine and then the police decided that this is bad enough to charge them if they continued. He also said that he could be facing a $1000 fine if they continue. He also said that Pam said the TV has been louder than usual because the windows are open and they can't hear because of the noise from the traffic and that she wants me to come down and tell her that it's loud because she wants the "opportunity" to turn it down before I call the police "again". He also told me that if they continue he'll have something "to hang his hat on" for eviction.

I didn't buy what my landlord said. He was never going to evict them. Period.
