I absolutely adore the Newcastle book series that ran through some of the old collections, especially with the descriptions telling an actual story. I'd like to see more books in that style, or even more items in general...maybe quest shop items, like clothing, that have particular characters and tell a story throughout the year of someone wearing it, or more books, or Thimble & Co sets that tell the story of someone's progression through their art (or an adventure or heist story, with the anchoring idea being that this is the set someone is using to make the counterfeit that will hang in the museum instead or whatever).

these books tell actual stories so I support because i'm a bookworm. As a writer though I think it's easy to come up with a story because it's easy peasy to get a random story in your mind and when you write it down you notice that it's completely unrelated to the major story you're writing. These pieces tend to drift off from the main course of something that you really want to get done and then you start writing nonsense and smoke starts to come out of your fingers and then you faint.
I know it can be tough, which is why in the body of the post I mentioned other items than just books. It could actually be a fun writing exercise for staff, if they feel like it...write stories or drabbles beforehand and then, when new items are going to be put out, see what fits? Only a thought, though, and I'm an ST rather than a writer so I understand if it wouldn't work. If there were a way, though, that'd be awesome.

As another writer, I would happily, happily lend my hand to writing some of these. The Newcastle books were a delight. I miss reading those and I wish there were a way to make them actual... books. At least a couple pages worth.

If I can finish getting all of them, I actually intend to open a gallery with just those, in order, if I can figure out a way to get the full text to show. There's a few other things to add, like two copies of that wig from the Sacred Lands collection this year, but I'd really like to see another full book or item series rather than just two items at a time (or discontinued/too expensive things like the Tattered Romance Novel or whatever the trunk was, which had a storyline among its elements if not a coherent order or timeline but is sadly no longer available).
