Before I bite the bullet and buy it, is it worth it? I know you can get the 15% discount through REs, and I use the heck out of it once I get it. There is no doubt I'll use the heck out of a permanent 20%. But with as much as they change around here, especially lately, I'm terrified of buying it and then they decide to get rid of it completely. I thought I heard rumor of them getting rid of it a while back, but I could be completely mistaken.

If it is all a rumor, should I just wait a while and buy the 30% from the MC?

I've had one (a friend gifted me theirs before they left Subeta) and tbph, it's not really worth it. I mean, yeah, it does save you on sP purchases but it doesn't do much good otherwise. I've had my card for going on... two years and...

Ooh, thanks for the input. Being able to see your savings puts it in perspective for me, too. I really only RS from two shops, and it's only for a couple of hours a day, usually. More if I have the day off from work.

I own my card for more than five years I'm sure and I still haven't earned much of its value. If I had bought it myself I'd try to sell it but it was a gift from a dear friend that passed away so I'm going to keep it forever even though in general I'd say it's definitely not worth the money unless you spend 24/7 on Subeta as a hardcore restocker.

Yeah, if you're not going to hardcore restock, it's really overpriced.

Seems to be that way. I just don't have the time to dedicate to it, between work and taking care of the house. I'll just appreciate the 15% more when I trigger it. :)

The 15% discount in NPC shops isn't going to be permanent, according to Keith, here. So if you RS a lot you might want to invest in a discount card.

I've had my 30% card for several years. Bought it before it came back to the MC with a huge price hike. Still hasn't paid for itself with the savings. ^^;

my 30 percent card cost me 150M and took six years to pay off I have saved 233,429,959 over the 8+ years. I bought it mostly for the "I have one and you don't" reason than really being super into restocking so this wasn't a big deal to me that it took that long.

Some of this was before Subeautique changed to the Invite only and acted like a Main NPC shop, and before All That Glitters vended. I've seen other serious restockers swear up and down by the 20 percenter though.

By the looks of it, my meager amount of free time RSing doesn't make buying the Discount Card with USD worth it. I might pick one up from a usershop down the line, but even that seems a little iffy to me now.

I'm very glad I posted before blindly buying one.
