Like, are there even any wedding dresses that aren't a: spooky (calavera bride, forgotten bride, creepy bride) b: old as sin?? (All of the spooky brides AND the bridal trunk) c: CW

Brides have some pretty varying taste, so it'd be nice to see that reflected at least a bit more. (or at least updated???)

I could really get into veils (long and short), trains/bustles, bouquets, and some backgrounds (that aren't necessarily bridal per se) of nice interior and exterior scenes.

Those kind of wedding items would be versatile.

I feel like the "old as sin" items could be revamped instead of having a bunch of new dresses, personally. Unless we get some variety in color too, then they're basically just long gowns and slightly more versatile.

But veils and bustles yes please

Wedding dresses are incredibly versatile and have changed drastically from decade to decade. They come in every shade of white, sure, but many are blue, blush, and even black. Think Princess Diana vs. Duchess Kate, drastic. Not to mention, bridal wear from around the world would be awesome.

Some designers: Pnina Tornai Marc Zunino Vera Wang

Some cool ones: Some lace details Sheer corset bodice with ruffle mermaid skirt/train sheer chest with flowing chiffon Similar but more structured Grecian Drape Satin and lace Typical nude colors used Simple and modern blush ombre chiffon

So basically, yeah, full support from me for more wedding stuff. I have cooler ones on my phone but I can't put them here, so...

I can get behind a few "global" pieces (Sacred Lands, Omen Islands, Veta, Shengui Guo, etc.), but I literally cringe whenever someone picks a Pnina Tornai on Say Yes to the Dress lol. Maybe a tasteful white gown with transformable options would be a cool Melody release. An updated bride/groom set would be a cool SubQ release too. (Bring back the Tres Chic team for a summer wedding competition between them?? Please I beg you.)

Ooh grecian drape and ombre are really lovely. Maybe the Tres Chic thingy on the anniversary of the SCOTUS decision?

Yeah, I really agree that wedding items would be versatile. I've been going through beta wardrobe for days for my HA (with obviously no luck) and noticed one of those days that we're lacking in wedding items. There isn't even a decent amount to be honest; it was pretty disappointing. What's also surprising is that they could be used in multiple different ways. For example, formal HAs and even Masquerade.

I support this... I also support updating the older, out of date wedding trunks too. I can't say enough how beautiful I think ombre wedding dresses are, and I'd love to have them on site.

Say yes to the dress? /shot repeatedly

Maybe there could be a new formal clothes shop? In it could be all manner of wedding dresses and accessories, but also tuxes and suits, prom dresses, and the like.

Okay love all of the suggestions in this thread, but I really love the idea of a formal clothes shop! <3

Since wedding dresses are so versatile, I don't think we need any clothing specifically meant to be wedding dresses. Many dresses and gowns can easily be used as wedding dresses. And I seriously doubt the demand for them would be that high.

I'm all for a general formal clothing shop, though.

The only thing that I can think of is .

More formal clothing would be nice, especially if it's broken up into sleeves, veils, tops, bottoms, etc. There are bits and pieces of Masquerade items that would fit a formal bride idea though. Lace sleeves and collars and such.

There's such a wide range of what constitutes a wedding dress. Even "traditional" ones are very varied. Nowadays most don't even do white, they do creams and pale colors.

As cool as it would be to have a formal wear shop, do you think it may be too similar to the menagerie ? And we're getting a lot of specialty shops, for a site that was closing shops. If it happened, that'd be cool; we all know I'm always all for more fancy clothes. Hades knows I'd buy a lot of stuff from it, ahaha

The Menagerie is supposed to be steampunk. Not the same thing as the formal wear/wedding dresses people are asking for. We can only earn trinkets for the Menagerie once a year whereas a formal wear shop could be another one where things are always in stock.

While it does have major influence, it's not just steampunk. A good portion of it is very versatile. These are just slacks.

Basic vests.

+ the whole line aren't steampunk, just Victorian masquerade.

Those are from '15, there's a lot more in '14 that I could post but I really don't want to. However I want to point out: That is very much like many wedding dresses I've seen, except I've only seen one in black. Most all are creams/pale colors. "Wedding" dresses and formal wear fit in perfectly, as, well, steampunk has big ties IN formal wear.

But this also doesn't change the fact that Subeta's wanted to slow down in all of the various shops it releases. Seems more productive to put things in a shop that is already there ?

I'm pro more wedding wears and i would love to see a line of wedding wears for every subeta land.

But please: no extra shop. If we are going to split up every kind of food, every kind of wear, every kind of weapon then subeta soon will be nothing but shops. Just put them in the clothing rack, tique or make small costume trunks out of them and put them in the mc or something like that.
