You have received a verbal warning for having an oversized forum image and/or signature. Forum images and signatures cannot exceed 450px in width and 325px in height, COMBINED. This includes all images, links, any text added in your signature, and regardless of images being left or right aligned. Any text added in the signature counts as 10px height per line
I didn't know it was too big! It was just a cute cat :/ What does this mean? Am I in trouble? It would be logical that if the image was too big, it wouldn't even be allowed to be in our signature in the first place.
I think if you get a few verbal warnings, they add up to an official warning, but otherwise no they don't count against you in any way. I think for forum images, they're automatically resized now but if you want to use a signature image you have to make sure it's within the sizes listed on the signature page. And you unfortunately have to check yourself because the numbers given there aren't always accurate.
What happens when someone gets an official warning? I will try to be more careful next time...
It's just a mark against your account. If you get too many (maybe just in general, maybe for the same thing, I'm honestly not sure) you can get frozen. But I don't believe they freeze people for forumtext warnings anyway. You can just file a ticket to have it removed after it's been long enough (I want to say a year or two).
Oh geez... I'll definitely be more careful in the future. So I'm trying to edit my soup picture and I think it's the right size?
I think it's okay, inspect element says it's 234 x 306
Okay awesome, thank you so much! I won't be changing it any more. I wish a staff member had just mailed me or commented on my profile. I feel like a step toward getting frozen is a harsh punishment for being naive.
That's basically what a verbal warning is c: Like I said, the verbal warning alone doesn't count for anything. If you get multiple ones, you might get an official warning from that but if it's only forumset issues, you won't get frozen for that. I've heard that you could have your forum image/signature taken away but they won't freeze you for something like that (and you can always appeal a freezing, should it ever happen)
Ooooo okay, a little less scary. Makes some sense now. I will be careful, and I like this soup picture so I probably wont change it. Thank you kindly for you help!!!
You're welcome and hopefully you don't get a warning (verbal or otherwise) this time around haha
According to the rules, verbal warnings become official when you receive two. First time = verbal; Two times, official. From your first official warning, there will be no other verbal ones. This, however, only applies to each offense and varies from case by case. Forum Image warnings don't count towards the warnings in your User Dashboard so you can't get freezed but you won't be able to use images as signature.
Oh okay, thanks for letting me know! I'm glad I'm not really in trouble anymore :')
I have only got one verbal warning for this. The next one was an official warning ;___; It is a COMPLETE accident. I wish they had it filtered to where it wouldn't even be allowed if we go over... but I guess we should just be more observant! xD
Not a freezable offense though. Still wouldn't be fun to have a blank siggy image and such :c

Thanks for the clarification c: I don't use a forum image so especially regarding those I can never remember how the verbal to official warnings work :L
Ahhhhhhh that's not cool man! I like people who have gifs and pictures in their sig and I always see your dude going "I love you" and the inner me giggles!
"I wish they had it filtered to where it wouldn't even be allowed if we go over... " - That's what I'm sayinnnnnn!
i'm sorry to hear that. Reading your post made me change my image and make it smaller. I had no idea Subeta didn't set up limits and we had to regulate our own images.
Just be super careful and read the rules :/ I've had 3 warnings for simple stuff like that. I'm walking around on glass here too...
Cleared by staff. Combined height may not exceed 325 pixels.
