i sell craploads of cws at any given time and every two weeks is an utter nightmare for me when i have over 150 trades cancel on me at once and i know im not the only one that sells a ton of cws.

what i propose is maybe a checkbox that could allow the trade to exist until manually cancelled? or to at least last longer than two weeks because the less i have to spend an hour putting up trades the better. I do feel like this would only generally apply to a few people selling particularly hard to sell or valuable items, but it's a feature i've wanted for a loooong time now

I don't support forever trades. It would clog up the trading center like crazy.

I would support a manual toggle for a longer time span, say one month or a month and a half or something.

I think extending them would make a really good GA/cash shop feature- people probably wouldn't pay to keep a lot of junk in their trades.

I never have near that amount of lots, but I have to agree, that two weeks seems to fly by and I kind of hate recreating trades.

I prefer to keep the limit but to add the possibility to extend it for another two weeks. For example, you get a reminder event two days before and a day before the automatic cancellation, if you wish to extend it, you click on a button, if no, keep it/cancel it.

The only problem that I can see is that you will be flooded with many event at once, but it's better than to suddenly have many items in your inventory, and then creating new trades again..

Yeah, I don't agree with this. Extending it I'm indifferent about, but I don't like the idea of having thousands of trades sitting around forever just because someone would rather have their items sitting in trades than to put them into trades as needed. I really like the recent trades feature, this would render that pretty useless tbh

's idea is better

the reason it only lasts two weeks to begin with is that people would set up trade lots and then go MIA for months and you'd have more inactive than active trades

I like this idea moreso than the "permanent trade" idea. As said, people could make permanent trades then go inactive and nothing could be done about all their trades in the system. At least this way, if you're the kind of person to have a ton of trades up, actively trying to sell them, therefore actively using the site, this would seem like an easy way to keep your trades up. Just an activity check.

edit: besides, even if there's an individual activity check event for each trade lot (with tons of trade lots) clicking the button to keep the trade up on each still seems better than going through all the pages and individually putting the items back up for trade.

Make it a GA feature to have an extended trade option. GA's would automatically get an extra two weeks, then have the option to continue extending it for another two weeks for a cost so it works as both a perk and a sink.

Y'know what a cool idea would be?

If someone only got one event saying "hey bro you got some trades that ended, your swag is in your inventory now". Instead of one event per ended trade.

It'd also be really cool if the resort worked like that. "Hey dude one or more of yo pets are out of the resort and be starving. If you wanna battle or something you might wanna check them back in". That'd be way cooler than getting 48 some odd events that expect me to delete them one by one because the mass delete button takes about 48 some odd clicks before it actually removes the events.

Decluttering events. It's 2015, it's time subeta.

but no two trades end at the exact same time. Each trade is two weeks from the moment it is created. So you couldn't get two events for two things that happen at different times

I agree with this wholeheartedly I was just thinking about making a topic. I would LOVE the ability to manually "re-up" the trade. A lot of my items are slow to sell and if I have a ton of items in my inventory for another reason, it's a bloody nightmare to try and sort out what was in my trades...especially when i'm on my phone!

Do you have a rare item that just won't sell? Are you going through the high levels of Item Hunt? Or maybe you just HATE that blue bunny? Then you should join IHH helpers and IHH bargain in the forum groups!

adding extended trades as a GA feature would honestly make me so happy

extended trade times would be nice, as a GA feature rather than a standard user feature. as far as notifications, perhaps instead we could have a trade history page that lists the last 50 or so trades made by the user, and whether they expired or were traded off to another user. that way there can just be one notification for things like shop purchases. (something like "Your Trade History has been updated! Click HERE to view new information." or "New Trade Information, Click HERE to view!" and it would lead you to the history page.)

Extended trades for GAs would be a great feature imo. I always end up quickstocking whatever I was trying to sell back into my wardrobe, laziness takes over and I give up.

I'm more with this. Keeping trades open forever would make the trade center lag WAY too much. But I agree. 2 Weeks might not be enough.

I strongly agree with the 'extend this trade' button idea. I'm moderately active, but my trades rarely change because I hoard or use a lot of what comes into my account (mostly wearables I don't already have). It would be awesome if I could just click a notification instead of having all of my trades suddenly show up in my inventory. It's not typically empty and sometimes I'll accidentally sell or delete something because it gets quick-stocked while I'm vending. Would this be a hard thing to code?

I think having an extension as part of a GA perk would be great! Also, like the idea of how after the two weeks you would get an alert asking you if you'd like to extend it. I'd even pay a teeny bit more to have one button that says, 'Extend ALL of your trades?' instead of one per trade.

How about leaving expired trades as they are instead of sending items to inventory, but hiding them from the list of trades other users can view?

Keep the details of the trade saved, and send an alert to the user when it expires. The user now has three options:

  1. Extend the trade for another two weeks with the same details.
  2. Edit trade details and resubmit.
  3. Cancel the trade and return items to inventory.

Maybe add a small sP fee for extending trades in this way. Pay extra for longer trades? Clear expired trades after a week and send items to inventory, if the user just leaves them there.

HONK!
