And in desperate need of help.

Here's the best map I can come up with, it's a Facebook picture. MAP

All kinds of resources are needed for the victims and firefighters. In some cases the firefighters are working the max hours before time away from work is required. For example some jobs say you can work a max of 18 Hours and then to keep you stable and less worn out by law you have to stop working for the hours dictated inbetween. That's what our firefighters are doing. We've had federal aid granted, and some firefighters coming in from other states as well as 3k volunteers to fight the fires, but not much has been contained.

I'm not sure what places are accepting donations for help as of right now. Just be aware of any random calls for this issue as there have already been scammers trying to pull shit. Worse yet there's communities under evacuation orders and it's given rise to looters.

My state is in a terrible condition. My city is not in any danger as of yet but the Carpenter Road fire sits between my city and the next largest city to us, if it swells it can mean a very bad thing.

FINALLY GOT THE 15K WARDROBE DONE!!!!! Next up gutting and selling it.

Woah, sorry to hear this news! It's not an area I'd usually associate with fires, having such high rainfall - and pardon me my English ignorance of American weather. Is it something that gets out of hand from time to time as it does in other states, or is it to do with the increasing drought on the west coast? In an area not usually prone to fire, I guess the infrastructure and ecology could take quite a significant hit.

Not sure what I can do from here but my thoughts are with you, and I will keep my ear to the ground for opportunities to help in some way (being careful, of course, of the scams which you said have sprung up). Honestly, how some people can take advantage of a tragedy like this is absolutely beyond me.

I'm in the range of the fires too. I feel you. Luckily they have gotten better since your post. A few weeks ago it was so smoky the level was "hazardous" and even the Walmart employees here had to wear masks.

I live close to the fires. There are fires in this area every summer but this is by far the worst they have been. This summer the temperature was the highest ever recorded for this area. So the fields were dried out which helps the fires catch/spread more quickly.

Thank you!
