i was chatting it over with a few friends, and we've all agreeded that this site needs more minerals. the site's already got some, mostly regulated to the spells galore shop, but why not more? they could be used for spells or just generally whatever, but a subject of conversation that came up in a group chat was the possibility of making a new collection dedicated to rocks/minerals/whatever. set up a new site feature for mining/panning so we could collect them similar to how bird watching is set up, but given a proper collection ala plushies and beanbags. maybe a crafting feature that would let us polish raw minerals into gemstones? there's a lot of possibilities here
anyway, here's a quick list of minerals i'd love to see (feel free to add with your own favs)
-potassium feldspar -pyrite -biotite -garnet -corundum -olivine -zircon -tourmaline -andalusite -magnetite
i'm just a guy who gets excited about rocks, go figure.
HELLZ YEAH ROCKS
-clear quartz -rose quartz -smoky quartz -black onyx -green onyx -malachite -agate -thunder egg -jade -jasper -fluorite -labradorite -bismuth -selenite -calcite -opalite
Yes to all of this. ALL OF IT. I have a pet that would NEED this in the TC... and honestly, this is a collection I would really like. I love gemstones/minerals/geodes and all that. I would love this so much! <3
I really love the idea of polishing raw minerals, especially the gemstone variety. Some of the below are suggestions for different colours of the same type of stone.
Some of these are suggestions for Sapphires in many colours (aka fancy sapphires)and Star Sapphires Rubies (technically just red sapphires) Diamonds many different colours, including black. Alexandrite Turquoise Jade - could do different cuts to make items which are culturally appropriate for the new map area. Opals Jet Flourite Hematite Topaz
If I have claimed a Dance from you and do not immediately Dance I will get back to you.
Always Buying:
[/font]yes to all. more rocks, more minerals, more gems. please and thank you
Yes needs more rocks, there are so many pretty rocks like all this nonsense, cut and uncut gemstones, etc.
I really like the idea of a geode that you can break open to get rocks/minerals, and also maybe someone you can go to to get the stones cut/polished (or you could leave them uncut? A lot of gems/minerals are really pretty both ways)
they/them/theirs, please.
I always need more gems and gem-like items for a TC.
rock collecting????? sign me UP. I'm always up for pointless things to hoard-- the actual collection AND the bottomless abyss in my vault!! seriously though, Coda Caves is fun but you're almost always guaranteed to find coda cave crystals... how about another cave to dig in??? oooh or maybe utilize the old Saheric Dig Site?? there's not really anything going on over there... doesn't Riverside have mining? and Darkside!??
YEAAAAAH ROCKS
As someone who collects gems and minerals IRL, and has spent hours trying to figure out which is which, I fully support this idea! I'd love a proper collection tab for them too ♥
OH MY GOD THIS. THIS WOULD BE SO COOL I'M ABOUT TO PEE. Maybe we could even stick it in Excavation Site in Sacred Lands? That way not much extra art required as way of mapping... It would even be neat to have certain minerals specific to different lands and we would have to go to each place for different minerals. AND THERE CAN BE A ROCK COLLECTION OH GOD. I'M NERDING SO HARD
I make beaded jewelry, and here are some of my favorites that aren't on this site:
Tiger's Eye Kyanite Malachite Azurite Lapis Lazuli Obsidian Snowflake Obsidian Mahogany Obsidian Opalite Hematite Unakite Sardonyx Goldstone - It also can be made blue. Howlite
Okay, not all of these are pure minerals, or even natural occurring, but as long as the look pretty, a jewelry maker doesn't care.

Yes please, give me all the rocks! I especially approve of the idea of this being a proper collection on here since they are something i collect in real life, unlike stickers or beanbags lol. Here are some of my favorite minerals:
torbernite autunite wulfenite mimetite benitoite galena cerussite desert rose (gypsum) aragonite cluster
