I've found several birds, but on the achievement page, it shows 0/8. Is this achievement no longer available, or do I need to report this as a glitch?

Did you find one from each region? Only the regional ones count (like Arctic Frost Ptarmigan and not ones like Common Grackle). It may be that the count on the page is not updating but it should still be keeping count. And you have to make sure that you turned them in when she asked for them.

It should be keeping up with it if it has a count, yes. I will let them them know that the count on the achievement is not updating. But you should be good to go to get the achievement. Happy hunting!
