Hello I'm Lacey. Thought it would be cool to swap recipes. I love to cook and bake and always looking for new recipes..I'll start with my favorite Brownie in a mug recipe. You can substitute coconut sugar and canola oil for a healthier option. The topping ideas are endless. A dollop of icecream or whipcream, sprinkles, nuts, favorite chocolate bar.

Brownie in a Mug

1/4 cup flour 1/4 cup sugar 1/4 cup water 1 1/2 tablespoons vegetable oil 2 tablespoons cocoa powder Mix it all up in a mug. Make sure there is room for the brownie to rise. I have a 1000 watt microwave and 50 seconds is just enough. But you have to keep an eye on it or it will get rubbery. It cooks in the mug once it's done so if it's a little wet on top thats alright. It's egg free so it won't hurt to eat the batter

Ooh ;3 I have a lot of recipes but I will post the one I make the most.

Cheesecake! This one usually makes 2 pies...

1 Graham cracker crust ( or you can make it)

3 8oz packages of Philadelphia Cream cheese 1 8oz package of sour cream 3 eggs 1/3 cup milk 1/4 cup flour 1 cup sugar 1 cap full of vanilla Pre-heat oven to 350 degree Fahrenheit

Mix all wet ingredients first Then all the dry. Blend well. Pour into the your crust Bake for one hour.

Bing. Also I make a strawberry topping by putting sliced strawberries into a bowl of sugar and you can use a fork or potato masher to mash em. Let it sit in the fridge while the cake is baking and cooling. Then its ready to go! ❤️

I'm actually making a cheesecake for my coworkers on Friday. This recipe is a lot easier than the one I have. I'll give this a try. That is one of my favorite things to do with fruit. If it's winter time I buy frozen blueberries and heat them just a little with sugar and mash a bit. It is AMAZING on french toast.

Here's one of my favorites: No-knead bread. Fairly fast, pretty easy, and definitely delicious. 3 cups all-purpose or bread flour, more for dusting ¼ teaspoon instant yeast 1¼ teaspoon salt cornmeal or wheat bran as needed ½ cup wheat germ in addition if you have it.

In a large bowl combine flour, yeast and salt. Add 1 5/8 cups water, and stir until blended; dough will be shaggy and sticky. Cover bowl with plastic wrap. Let dough rest at least 12 hours, preferably about 18, at warm room temperature, about 70 degrees.

Dough is ready when its surface is dotted with bubbles. Lightly flour a work surface (a flexible cutting board is excellent for this purpose) and place dough on it. Sprinkle it with a little more flour and fold it over on itself once or twice. Cover loosely with plastic wrap and let rest about 15 minutes.

Using just enough flour to keep dough from sticking to work surface or to your fingers, gently and quickly shape dough into a ball. Dust with a very small amount of flour, corn meal, or wheat bran and loosely cover with the plastic wrap (but not the side that may have developed humidity while the dough was rising). Let rise for about 2 hours. When it is ready, dough will be more than double in size and will not readily spring back when poked with a finger.

At least a half-hour before dough is ready, heat oven to 450 degrees. Put a 6-8 quart heavy covered pot (Pyrex, ceramic, enamel, cast iron) in oven as it heats. When dough is ready, carefully remove pot from oven. Slide dough into it; it may look like a mess, but that is O.K. Shake pan once or twice if dough is unevenly distributed; it will straighten out as it bakes. Cover with lid (or aluminum foil) and bake 30 minutes, then remove lid and bake another 15 minutes, until loaf is beautifully browned. Cool on a rack.

they/them/theirs, please.

Oh awesome! Well I hope it turn out well for you!

Also I forgot to mention the water bath. If you already know about it, I recommend doing it.

It's just taking a large pan, big enough to fit the cake in, filled with water 1/4 of the way or until the cheesecake it slightly floating. This will just make it to where the cheesecake doesn't crack ;3

- Yay! I'm an aspiring chef, and I'm always looking for new ideas. Right now, I'm on a tight budget, so I'm specializing in cheap recipes.

My fiance is challenging me to make a new recipe per week on our budget. I don't measure things while cooking, but I do remember package sizes and temperatures. So, sorry if my recipes aren't totally specific.

What I made last week was coconut curry noodles. The total cost for this meal was about $10 and can last a person 4-6 meals, depending on how much one eats.

-1 can coconut milk -1.5 lbs chicken thighs (skinned and boned are cheaper) -1 largeish bag egg noodles -decent amount of curry powder -2 cups chicken broth -a bit of soy milk (or milk or heavy cream) -1 tbsp butter -some sugar

  1. Add some curry powder to a pot 2/3 full of water. Get it to nearly boiling, and then add the chicken. Boil the chicken at medium-high heat for 30 minutes. (I removed the skin before cooking the chicken.)
  2. In a separate pot, mix coconut milk, soy milk, chicken broth, curry powder, and sugar. Get to a boil, and then add egg noodles. Boil until noodles are soft.
  3. Either remove bones from chicken and mix into finished noodles or leave the chicken boned.
  4. Done!
