I could swear that I had read somewhere (news?) that we were going to be able to pay for autotraining using sP instead of CSC... Am I crazy? lol :P Or did I actually read this somewhere?

It's been suggested and discussed as a possible sP sink that users would like to see in the The Economy Is Broken, Let&;s Fix It Together!! thread, but it hasn't been done.

I found that thread too long and stopped reading it, so I didn't know that.

Training has always been click-intensive, and before autotraining was suggested as a CSC revenue-enhancer it was often asked for in Suggestions as a regular site feature. It was rejected each and every time. It seems unlikely that it turn into a sP feature.

If you had read the thread, your opinion would probably be different.
