There's a user I want to block, because honestly I just really don't like them, and don't want to be around their negativity but I don't know what affect that would have? They're active on the forums, and I don't want to not be able to see a thread or something just because they've commented on it already.. What does blocking a user mean for me? What can and can't I do or see, if they're involved with it?

Also, how do you even block them, I can't find where the button might be XD

Oh my god we still have a journal somewhere in here? XD Ok, so I'll still be able to see forum threads they're on? Will I still see their posts and they just can't see mine? Or can neither of us see each other?

You can see any thread they've posted on, you just won't see their posts. They can still see you though. If they ping a group or run a ping group, you cannot interact that way, meaning you can't join it and won't receive the pings.

Yes you can see threads as long as it's not theirs (I GUESS!) I've been blocked by one person, and before I blocked them back I could see their posts and comments and such, but not their profile!

you cannot see any part of a thread that they have started. If someone else started it you see everyone else's posts but not theirs.

Blocking works one-way unless they block you back.

Regular shop purchases are not affected, so sometime I see folks I have blocked in my Shop Log and I occasionally accidentally find I've purchased something from someone I'd just as soon not have my sP.

Nah, they'll be able to see your shoutbox messages, forums posts and news comments all the same, but you won't be able to see theirs.

You won't be able to interact with each other anymore. Neither of you will be able to see the other's profile, send smails, items, etc. Journals aren't a thing anymore.

Can anything be done about users who've blocked you who no longer exist? Not inactive or frozen, completely purged.
