I really enjoy doing HA contests but there are a lot less around than previous years I feel? Subeta is such a HA fashion obsessed community that I found this surprising.
Honestly I feel like the biggest cause of this is the sheer number of avatar games. They far outnumber the contests and you have to scroll through all of them to look for active contests that also push them down the forum feed. HA games are really fast pace and update frequently so Contests which tend to move slower get pushed down quickly.
Plus people looking for contests might mistake the forum for just a forum game... forum since you could consider some of the games contests of sorts. Then stop checking it.
To create a new sub forum for HA Contests only would solve those issues and maybe they would come back into greater popularity/spark new interest?
(Edited this a bit because I thought of some additional things/ got rid of some redundant points)

I don't think a new seperate forum is needed, why can't they just move HA games to ussr run?
I think this is a good idea. Maybe also get rid of the 'Avatars' subforum (and merge it into the main). Unless I'm missing something, 'Avatars' seems to just be for specific HA advice/specific item seeking, which would easily fit onto the main forum.
Running an HA contest is work though and participants aren't guaranteed. Most of what you're looking for is from a bygone era of when the fashion cults were more prominent onsite. Things like offsite cult forums and the now defunct Style-File contributed to the shift in that subforum imo. I think separating it would just create a slow new subforum.
I think you'd enjoy joining an active avatar-based cult. Many of them run HA contests regularly, some as often as weekly. There's a bigger variety of cults to join since the switch to the forum group format too, and the HA clubs are some of the largest and most active here. The cult I'm in isn't even avatar focused but we still have contests on a regular basis.
