Miss Lindsey Kain

School Position: Caretaker House: Hufflepuff Age: 26 Favorite Color: Mauve Patronus: Peacock Boggart: Swarm of bees How long has she been at Hogwarts? This is her first term as a staff member at Hogwarts. Where is her office located? Ground floor, just across from the Great Hall. Any special abilities? None. Bio: Before she went to Hogwarts, Lindsey Kain didnâ€™t have very many friends. Her family lived in a secluded area away from Muggles, and there were not very many wizarding families nearby. To keep herself busy, Lindsey devoured any puzzle, riddle, or game she could play by herself that she could find. Her time at Hogwarts was very different. She made friends quickly and soon found herself not having much time for her solitary puzzles. She found new games and challenges to do with her classmates, but it was never the same. After graduating, she tried a few different jobs, but none of them seem to fit. When she saw that the school was hiring a Caretaker, she decided to give it a shot. Somehow, the subject of puzzles came up in her interview with Mister Burke, and he suggested she try to incorporate challenging the students to games and puzzles into her duties. â€œTo give their minds a leg up outside of their studies,â€ he had said. He puts on the guise that he isnâ€™t approving of her take on the post, but she could see it in his eyes. Heâ€™s a puzzle and riddle enthusiast too.

Professor Deidra Morgan

School Position: Head of Slytherin House and Herbology Professor House: Slytherin Age: 48 Favorite Color: Plum Patronus: Mongoose Boggart: Fiendfyre How long has she been at Hogwarts? A little more than 20 years. Where is her office located? Second floor Any special abilities? None. Bio: Like many other witches and wizards, Deidra Morgan traveled throughout Europe and parts of Asia after graduating from Hogwarts. She took the time to learn what she could about exotic plants, then brought the knowledge into a shop at the cusp between Diagon Alley and Knockturn Alley. Deidra took over as the Herbology professor only 2 years after the Battle of Hogwarts, after Professor Sprout retired. Her shop remains open, but now it is run by her oldest son and his wife. Even though Professor Sprout did a wonderful job at trying to repair the damage the battle did to the grounds, there was still a lot left to do upon Deidraâ€™s arrival. Students often ask her if she is a descendent of the pirate Henry Morgan. While she cannot confirm nor deny she is, she likes to lead the students to believe that she is. She has a close friendship with Professor Jade Mathers, though you could never tell from Jadeâ€™s expressions during their interactions.

Professor Cuthbert Binns

School Position: History of Magic Professor House: No oneâ€™s really bothered to ask him; we just figure he was probably a Ravenclaw. Age: So old, he died of old age Favorite Color: ...Gray? Patronus: Can Dementors bother ghosts? ...Can ghosts even cast magic? Boggart: Our best guess would be a student that challenges him to think outside the box. How long has he been at Hogwarts? No one really knows how long heâ€™s been here anymore, itâ€™s been that long. And they canâ€™t get rid of him either. Where is his office located? First floor, in the office next to the History of Magic classroom Any special abilities? Ghost powers! Bio: The story that is most widely accepted is that Professor Binns had been so old and teaching at Hogwarts for so long, his routine had become so ingrained and, even though he had died, he still got up to continue it, leaving his body behind.

Professor Cassandra Brookvale

School Position: Muggle Studies Professor House: Ravenclaw Age: 33 Favorite Color: Carnation Pink Patronus: German Shepherd Boggart: Watching someone she loves being electrocuted How long has she been at Hogwarts? 3 years Where is her office located? Near the muggle studies classroom Any special abilities? Able to drive a motorbike pretty well. Bio: After graduating from Hogwarts, Cassandra decided to blend in with the Muggles in order to study them further. Three years into her study, her then girlfriend (a Muggle) decided to teach her how to ride a motorbike, and she was hooked. Unfortunately, she suffered some pretty severe injuries in a crash. Rather than blow her cover and reveal herself as a witch, she allowed the wounds to heal naturally, causing the visible scars to her face and arm. After a while, she longed to return to the wizarding world. She argued with herself over telling her significant other, but in the end decided it was better off that she didnâ€™t. They parted ways, and she returned to the wizarding world equipped with new knowledge to share with the students of Hogwarts.

Professor Nico Skye

School Position: Arithmancy Professor House: Hufflepuff Age: 40 Favorite Color: Orange Patronus: Butterfly Boggart: Watching someone starve How long has he been at Hogwarts? 2 years Where is his office located? Outside on the grounds, near the forbidden forest. He shares a duplex office hut with Professor Sparks. Any special abilities? No Bio: Nico is what you would call â€˜eccentricâ€™. Not many people get him, but behind his crazy speech patterns and half-way thoughts, is a pretty intelligent man when it comes to numbers. He is a free thinker, free lover, and does not like to be tied down. There are several bets going on in the staff room over how much longer heâ€™ll want to work at Hogwarts before he drifts on to a new job. Heâ€™s divorced, and has two children with his ex-wife that he doesnâ€™t get to see as often as heâ€™d like, but sends them owls and gifts constantly. He really loves children, but has decided marriage is not for him. Heâ€™d much rather just be with someone the rest of his life without having to get the government involved.

Professor Carlos Valdez

School Position: Defense Against the Dark Arts Professor House: Slytherin Age: 46 Favorite Color: Blue Patronus: Hippopotamus Boggart: Nuclear mutations How long has he been at Hogwarts? 12 Years Where is his office located? Next to the kitchens Any special abilities? He is able to use wandless magic. Something he learned out of necessity when he lost his wand arm. Bio: Carlos grew up in a poverty stricken city in Spain, where he learned to speak both Spanish and English fluently, but soon used his amazing skills in vanquishing dark creatures to pay his way around the world as a â€œSlayer for Hireâ€. He has seen and done it all, and is probably one of the most well traveled people to ever attend Hogwarts, despite his hard lot in life growing up. He is married, having saved his wife from a hickypunk fifteen years earlier, and they have one young daughter that they recently adopted from China.

Professor Sybil Trelawney

School Position: Head of Ravenclaw House and Divination Professor House: Ravenclaw Age: 83 Favorite Color: White Patronus: Lemur Boggart: Balloons How long has she been at Hogwarts? She has been teaching at Hogwarts for almost 40 years. Where is her office located? Atop the North Tower, just behind the Divination Classroom Any special abilities? The ability to occasionally divine a true prophecy. Bio: Sybil Trelawney has been teaching at Hogwarts since just before the first time the Dark Lord was defeated. Sheâ€™s been through a lot at the school: the Second Wizard War, the Battle of Hogwarts, ...a drinking problem â€¦ Dolores Umbridgeâ€¦ etc. As the granddaughter of a famous Seer, Sybil has always tried to convince others that she possessed the same gift. Now that she can confirm for sure that she can divine prophecies, itâ€™s gone to her head, and sheâ€™s become even more insufferable than before.

Headmistress Appoline Persnickety

School Position: Headmistress House: Ravenclaw Age: 37 Favorite Color: Green. Especially leafy/nature green. Patronus: Flamingo Boggart: An old hag with her hood up and grey hair hanging down in front of her face. Her skin is a yellow-green and she has broken chains dragging from her wrists, walking towards her with her rotting hand outstretched. She had encountered this creature in the deep woods of Romania on one of her trips when she was 20, and never quite outlived it. How long has she been at Hogwarts? This is her first term as Headmistress of Hogwarts. Where is her office located? The Headmasterâ€™s Tower Any special abilities? She speaks 27 different languages including Mermish and Dwarfish. She is also a foremost expert in international magical customs, spellwork, potion making/ingredients, and history. (She's a wizards anthropologist basically.) Bio: After graduating Hogwarts 20 years ago, she set out to travel the world and learn all there was to know about the international wizarding world as an international liaison for the Ministry of Magic. During that time she has learned 27 different languages including Mermish, and Dwarfish. She has also made many friends all over the world, and has become an exceptionally powerful witch. After 20 years of travel, she is ready for a quiet life sharing her knowledge with young witches and wizards. She is a very free spirit, a bit eccentric, and very inquisitive, but she is fiercely loyal to those who have earned it.

Professor Chloe Foster

School Position: Ancient Runes professor House: None; Graduated from Beauxbatons Age: 27 Favorite Color: Pink Patronus: A Shrimp Boggart: Deceased Family members How long has she been at Hogwarts? 8 years Where is her office located? Nowhere at the moment Any special abilities? Skipped her 5th year of Beauxbatons due to being academically gifted. Bio: Chloe is currently on maternity leave from Hogwarts. It is no telling when she will be coming back, though she is sorely missed among the students. A pursuer of the finest fashions, the more clothing inclined students would always come to her for fashion advice and tips. Her and her Husband were married less than a year before Chloe soon found herself with child. As of now, they have not found out the gender.

Professor Karisha Makshi

School Position: Head of Hufflepuff House, Deputy Headmistress and Transfiguration Professor House: Hufflepuff Age: 29 Favorite Color: Green Patronus: A calf Boggart: enclosed spaces How long has she been at Hogwarts? 7 Years Where is her office located? The ground floor, near the courtyard Any special abilities? No Bio: Karisha is a very religious person, and it took her a while to come to terms with the fact she could do magic and have it not mean anything negative in her Hindu religion. It was during a long and arduous journey of self discovery that she finally understood how to make both things work together without violating any laws set forth by the gods. Her parents werenâ€™t very accepting of it, and she eventually cut ties with them after graduation to find her own way through life with both religion and magic working hand in hand. Karisha is a hard worker, and will only take off of work for religious holidays. Sheâ€™s also is nursing a not-so-small crush for the Flying instructor, Professor Carlisle.

Professor Devine Sinistra

School Position: Astronomy Professor House: Ravenclaw Age: 32 Favorite Color: White Patronus: Lightening Bug Boggart: Blindness How long has she been at Hogwarts? Five Years Where is her office located? Next to the Astronomy Classroom in the Astronomy tower Any special abilities? No Bio: Devine was shown the magical world of Astronomy at a young age by her mother, whom used to also be the Astronomy professor at Hogwarts back in the day. She was in no way forced by her mother to take the same career path, as it is very apparent that Devine loves the sky and stars even more than her mother did. She has some what of a love hate relationship with the Divination teacher. They are good friends, but she has yet to understand how the positions of the stars can affect fate like Trelawny believes.

Professor Phoebe Sparks

School Position: Care of Magical Creatures Professor, Head of Gryffindor house House: Gryffindor Age: unknown Favorite Color: Purple Patronus: Raccoon Boggart: wooden stakes How long has she been at Hogwarts? 4 years Where is her office located? Outside on the grounds, near the forbidden forest. She shares a duplex office hut with Professor Nico. Any special abilities? She is a vampire, but she keeps it well hidden. Bio: Phoebe had always been daring, something that came to bite her- quite literally- in the butt while she was out camping with some friends and researching magical creatures. Inadvertently stumbling upon vampire territory, not everyone made it out alive. In fact, only Pheobe was chosen to become like them, for reasons she did not understand. However, this little hiccup did not stop her from pursuing her career as a Magical Creature vet, before finally becoming a teacher when people started questioning why she didnâ€™t age. Here at Hogwarts, no one knows of her disability, except the Headmistress. She keeps it very well hidden, and takes a potion to help with some of the side effects that come with vampirism (much like wolfsbane potion for werewolves).

Professor Christopher Norman

School Position: Charms Professor House: Gryffindor Age: 86 Favorite Color: Red Patronus: Donkey Boggart: Fire How long has he been at Hogwarts? 20 Years Where is his office located? 2nd Floor, in a usually abandoned classroom Any special abilities? He put his wand in his icicle staff so he can cast spells with it instead. Bio: Christopher is affectionately called â€œSantaâ€ by most of the students of Hogwarts. Heâ€™s jolly, good natured, and likes to laugh with a Ho ho ho! He hails from the arctic circle, where he went to school as a young child before moving to England and joining Hogwarts in his 6th year where he was sorted into Gryffindor. Heâ€™s also very strict about personal space, which is why he took an old classroom as his office. He does not enjoy being touched, except if itâ€™s by his wife, 2 children, 6 grandchildren and 1 great-grandchild.
