I was sorting through SubetaLodge's Subeautique previews list and I saw some amazing themes (including outdated art) and noticed they haven't seen another set for years. I had this lingering in my mind for a few days and decided to put it up here. My suggestion is to create more sets for older subeautique designers like Misery Lotus, Lyrical, MayQ, Dew, GreaseMonkey, Oh! Naturale and Zodiak (read below). Even though I love seeing gorgeous new sets, they're getting extensive and this could be a way to expand variety of clothing on-site, thus, increasing the general creativity of users.
Misery Lotus
Misery Lotus has three sets: Skankpop, RebelTranquility and Anti. I'm not a know-it-all person so I can't tell where these sets come from, but they're basically inspired from Punk. Suggestions More spike-y sets. Spiders, thorns, roses (maybe Horns and Roses inspired theme?). Why not?
Dew Dew is based off from Greek mythology. Boreas is the North Wind, bringer of Winter. Atlantis is the sunken city (okay everyone already heard about it). Suggestions Chiseled stone, inspired on the Athena Parthenos, maybe a wooden set, from the Trojan Horse, used by the Greeks to enter an army inside Troy.
Oh! Naturale This is by far the set with the largest potential. It has a single set released, Ailuridae, featuring the Red Panda. It has the red panda hoodie so why not make more sets for it? As for example, could easily become part of a set signed by Oh! Naturale. Suggestions Infinite. There are plenty of fantastic animals around, not only animals but also plants. Suggestions include Amaryllis, Orchidae, Lilies, Cattails, Fern as plants // Galapagos tortoise, Black Rhino, Giant Panda, Snow Leopard, Whale, Polar Bear as animals (mostly, these are almost extinct animals, like the Red Panda)
Zodiak / Anechka I know, I know, the Cash Shop is releasing zodiac-themed outfits like Delish Lee & Ohh, Pye & Cees and Can & Ser. Though, Anechka has the outfit Sheepish, somewhat it represents Aries along with a every day and casual outfit. Suggestions It could incorporate a marking of the sign, like Sheepish's horns, into a common (but unique and related) outfit. Zodiak, on the other hand, could feature the Gemstones of each sign instead of the sign itself like the Delish lines.
GreaseMonkey A recent set, GreaseMonkey has seen a single set so far: Gearwork. It seems to be Steampunk-themed and has almost infinite possibilities. Suggestions Something Cyborg-ey related, like this. Or robotic arms, robotic legs, eyes, visors, high tech stuff. Tron, anyone?
Lyrical Lyrical features Subeta pets, up to now the Kumos and the Priggle. Why not show some prestige to other Subetan pets? Not all of them because, well, we got a ton of pets. I know everyone loves their pets and all that stuff (obviously, if a set for every single pet could be released, would be fine), but this would make Lyrical overcome Professor New with its record of most Subq sets released. I'm not listing suggestions because I know other pet fandoms will stab me.
[edit] As confirmed by , most of the sets listed above have been made by artists who no longer work for Subeta. Their concept is what makes them worthy in my opinion and the previous sets can be used as examples for future ones. Also, I guess other designer names for them wouldn't hurt.
I think some of them belong to artists that no longer work for Subeta, though ? I know some of the older sets have been given new artists for revamping purposes, but I don't think they are going to be releasing new sets for them. I am all for broadening what is put in there, though. It feels like the same few artists are doing them and they sort of bleed into one another.
I thought about that, but in my opinion if there's any kind of trouble in regards to this matter then it won't hurt to make other designer name to sign the lines. And that's the point. I'm tired of seeing Professor New, Giselle and Junko on the Subeautique with rather similar sets still available. I've seen Radhas Luxe getting revamped and (except for the belt, which was later re-revamped and the beaded belts were added as items separated from the set) IMO it came out pretty similar as the original version and with an updated art it has much potential.
Yeah, the designers we no longer see belong to artists that are no longer on staff. They can get revamped, but they're not going to get new lines.
MiseryLotus was Mythica, Radhas was Rajani, Dew was Aqua, and I forgot who Oh!Naturale was, because they were not on staff for a long time. I am not comfortable with new lines released under old designers names.
I don't know for the rest.
Lyrical's lines still have their artist on site, but their lines were not that popular. I don't really miss Lyrical, tbh.
@ Sopheroo I don't mind seeing new designers for lines that fall into this concept. It isn't necessary to steal their credit with the signature from these lines neither the originally 100% totally completely absolute concept and thought of that particular designer since that would end up causing some minor trouble and that's not what i'm after or about. I have seen dozens of gorgeous lines from Subeautique but still I wouldn't wear a full line because I don't identify with it. Also, particular items from lines are sometimes better than their full line IMO and i'd wear them with most of my outfits because they simply fit. As examples, , not to mention female hairs that I don't use because I don't dress my HA as female but they are a nice addition to any wardrobe. The same can happen with those sets. Tell me you don't have a subq line you'd wear only a single item from that.
[edit]I might have pinged you three times because i'm a dumbass
Are you seriously asking someone with less than 50 items in their wardrobe that? You're talking to the wrong part of the userbase, bud!
I'd love to see more from Oh! Naturale. I also liked the idea behind Lyrical, but I didn't really like the execution. They were too cosplay-ish or something. If it could be brought back with a more fashion-oriented approach like Siren, I think it could be really cool.

I like a lot of the ideas in the OP. I'd love to see more Tres Chic sets/NPC interaction from a fashion standpoint as well as the lore perspective.

Most CWs are high-fashion. Whether this is an unintended result of their criteria/judging or just what is in demand, it isn't then necessary to also do more SBQ in that style. It's already been/being done. I prefer the cosplay versions and this is what was fun about the old Trunks and the new Delish astrology sets to me.
Of all the old lines Zodiak and Radhas were pretty cool. Some of the Lililace items were revamped away from what made them truly fashionable into a more buy-it-from Sears style bleargh. If there were no Achievements attached, I'd never own a single Professor New item. I guess my point here is that fashion is in the eye of the beholder.
Can I be an ass and point out that Professor New has fifteen sets now ? Of those fifteen, SEVEN were released this year. They also did the five Argo (two in '10, two in '11, one in '13), two Grimdark ('14), and the GreaseMonkey ('14) sets.
Don't get me wrong, I like her stuff and some pieces are staples (hello Zombeau eyes), but damn. Where are some of the other lines ? Giselle's last line was in '14. Dapper So was in '14. Cece had two in '14. Eddie Bell had two in '13 (my favorite please come back ! I need a Morostide themed set... You get me and my love for skeletons and sugar skulls) Kore had two in '14. Lyrical was in '13. Mimi Moe was in '13 (please go back to more subtle fashion like Shia and Truffle, Verdi has Lolita down) Rainyday was in '14 (I know, Delish comes first) RoQ Candy was in '14. Sougara was in '14. Verdi was in '14.
I freakin' loved ThistleThief, are they still on staff ? Their last set was in '13 and I never figured out who did it. MerryDay ('12) ? Bow-E ('12) ?
Pleased to be requesting some broader SubQ lines ? I love Lava but she's dominating it tenfold. Giselle was one of my favorites, same for Dapper So. I know Bean's been busy with Junko and Este Evvu this year but darnit I will literally beg for more Eddie.
I think Este Evvu is actually Dallas, shading style is very similar to her other pieces. MerryDay and ThistleThief were both Alice I think, now retired of course. Bow-E is Lava as well (lol).
edit: Maybe I'm wrong about Este actually, the pieces aren't in her gallery hmmm.
I KNOW BEANS WORK YO. Also, she posted it on her DevArt. I thought Bow-E was by Lava but wasn't completely sure (that hair style is 100% her but a couple of other things don't look like her typical style).
Hah well colour me shocked! I usually think her style is one of the easiest to spot but that completely passed me by. And I thought the Spirit Plot prizes were by Dannica, too, the Humble Wooden Offering Doll seems so her style. :c Poor me huh.
Seconding the request for a greater diversity in designers. That's the third professor new line in a row. Of the last ten lines released, half of them were Professor New.
Re: other designers, I wouldn't mind seeing some more Lyrical lines, depending on how they were handled. There were a couple of nice pieces in the Priggle set, not so much with the Kumos. I generally prefer the more off the wall, avant garde stuff.
