I'm about to hit T8, and am trying to prepare. I haven't spent much money on weapons, nor have I really cleared anything out, so I'm just looking for some help.

My typical set:

Items in my armory that I haven't touched in forever:

Scrolls that I have (56 AP available):

As far as strategy goes... I don't have much. I enjoy freezing and slipping them some Soma Tablets, but after that, I'm more of a "slow and steady" repeated bashing person. I've been relying on my health for most enemies to just get by. Tips would be appreciated.

[edit] Thanks for all the help!

T8 battle set will be:

x3

maybe or instead of the blunderbuss, both weapons I mentioned heal, but the blunderbuss doesn't. I don't think the love bucket is particularly useful, if you want a bomb in your set, is really really cheap. I don't use bombs much though

the rapier can be used when you're doing well health wise and want to freeze them.

at this point you may want to just switch out your divine denizhen scroll for your terra focujin, no point in having both in your set. mist of the ages, poisonous barrage, taking up room, telson, and ruby heaven scroll are most likely just taking up room at this point. you're better off filling space with more perilous whirlpool scrolls in my opinion, or putting some defensive scrolls in there like cobalt eternal/sancturia exodin/fatal fire

strategy really depends on the opponent. most opponents go something like: freeze first turn, second turn two attackers + freezing scroll and hope for another freeze, repeat until they're unfrozen or you're out of freezing scrolls. you will just be hitting them with two weapons most of the time unless you need to heal, then you use your phoenix quill or the one ring and heal. as you get into higher tiers, you need to plan your weapons ahead of time because the defense on your weapons will mitigate their main attackers. if you need further help, let me know :)

Thanks for the help!

[edit] Okay, I've swapped my Love Bucket for an Item Hunter Bomb. When I'm able, I'll swap my Blunderbuss out for the Rapier of Error. That'll leave my Malevolent Grenade leftover from my old set. I guess I'll keep it until I find an alternative.

Regarding my Reborn Icewand of Doom-- I'll add the Ice King Clawed Gloves once I reach T8. Remind me / correct me if I'm wrong, but I can't use two weapons listed as healer at the same time? (Will I have to remove my icewand if I use the gloves?) Same type of question goes to the Minotaur Knocker- is it listed as a healer?

Are there any alternatives for freezers? I use the Kismets Cosmic Elixer currently, but it isn't exactly strong.

As for scrolls, I'll kill off my waste, and have room for another couple Perilous Whirlpools.

Oh I forgot about the stuff being listed as a healer xD I will check comparisons between them when I get home. I don't think the knocker is classified as a healer though. Will reply more thoroughly later

[edit] Ice King Clawed Gloves Tier 8 Attack: 10-12 Ice, 6 Physical, 5 Dark, 5 Water (26-28 icons) Defense: 7 Frost Other: Heals 5-8%

Reborn Icewand of Doom Mod Slots: 2 Attack: 6 Fire, 6 Ice, 4 Magma, 4 Water 4 Wind (24 icons) Defense: 3 Fire, 3 Ice, 3 Water, 3 Magma (12 icons) Heal: 10%

both take the healer spot unfortunately, the reborn wand does fewer icons but has better heal , wider def spread. I'd probably still stick with the reborn wand personally, freeze chances are always nice. minotaur knocker won't take the healer slot though so you're safe with that.

for your question about freezers, as long as it has a 100% chance, it's fine. the strategy behind freezers isn't to do damage with them. there are better options like I see you have the scientist specs on that list. t9 has probably the best freezer though, try not to worry too much, you probably won't win or lose a battle yet by switching out your freezer for a different one.

Thanks for the follow up. Well, I'll stick with my Icewand for now anyway (probably have another week in T7), and try out the gloves. I'll probably get the Minotaur Knocker, I'm just sad that I have to spend 15mil. (I only just got sp again.)

Thanks for the freezer info. Scientist specs look good (both in the armory, and on my HA ;)), so those should hold me over for a while.

My new scroll list: Terra Focujin [healer] Divine Denizhen [healer/defense] (I know TF is better healing wise, but I do like that DD has defense on top of healing) Perilous Whirlpool x2 [attack/defense] (once ingredient prices drop a little, I'll add a third and remove DD) Cobalt Eternal [defender] Inferno [cheap attacker] Sonar Scream [attack/defense] (plus, I got a good deal on it)

You can look into aftershocks, it does offense defense and heals, not sure exactly whst its priced at right now though. Other than that, looking good :) Morosbane might come back around morostide, that is another one worth looking into if it does come back.

Ahoy! I need some advice for modification slots. I just hit tier 8 (thanks to a heck of a lot of battling/training the last few days), so I get to use my shiny new toys.

Right now, I have 1 slot on my replica minotaur knocker, 2 slots on my scientist specs, 3 slots on my rapier of error, and 1 slot on my one ring. In the 2 slots of my reborn icewand, I had previously placed a blessing of natural armor tear crystal and a critical strike tear crystal (I can remove those though.) (So 7 empty slots, and 2 previously filled.)

At the moment in my vault, I have 6 parched baguette crystals, 6 singed baguette crystals, and a wide variety of tear crystals.

[Oh, and in regards to the aftershocks scroll. Looks lovely, but don't really want to drop 37mil on it. Also don't have a t12 pet to defeat the cash shop opponent for it. My sonar scream is working pretty well in addition to the perilous whirlpools though.)

I don't generally mod once per battle things. if you do, either singed baguettes for extra damage, or blessing of natural armor. I'd say parched baguettes but they're kinda expensive for something you'll replace soon

for infinite use weapons, I put at least 1 critical strike tear on them, parched baguettes, and singed baguettes at tier 8 you may be able to get away without using parched. do you get frozen a lot? singed are really cheap. for things with 4 mod slots, I use 1 crit 2 parched 1 singed. so you're probably good with 1 crit 2 singed or 1 crit 1 singed, but adding a parched in place of a singed may be a good idea if you do struggle with being frozen a lot, not actually sure if t8 opponent freeze enough. I don't ever use blessing of natural armor just because I prefer the extra attack that parched offer. hopefully that made sense...I don't think I phrased that very well but I think you can understand it lol

aftershocks can be something you work towards, no hurry on it :)
