We have a "what are you currently" general anime topic but not one for manga. At least not one that wouldn't be a necro. So what are you currently reading or rereading?

I just caught up with Mahou Tsukai no Yome. It's a sweet story about a girl bought by a mage to be his apprentice. It's got lovely art and worldbuilding, dragons and fairies, happy parts and sad parts. Seriously hoping this gets an anime. I want Akira Ishida to voice Lindel.

I've begun reading Death Note again after stalling last time, which means it's the fourth time trying to finish it in a span of almost 10years... It's really good, just very text/information heavy in terms of expecting the reader to keep track of every single twist and turn, who did what/why etc. Still one of my faves though

I'm currently re-reading +Anima. The last time I read it was in high school and I remember it being very good, so I'm picking it back up half a decade later to enjoy it again and see if I can catch anything I may have missed the first read-through.

I most recently finished Watashitachi no Shiawase na Jikan. Right now the manga I'm most excited to read is Akatsuki no Yona. Updates can't come soon enough.

Death Note was actually the first manga I ever read. I'm currently reading one called Amatsuki and, while I wouldn't call it wordy, for whatever reason I cannot keep track of what happens. I've read the first 40 chapters about three times over the years. I've finally decided to just let it update in one big chunk and read it all once. The translations are about six volumes behind though.

I've never read it but the synopsis seems interesting and the art seems cute. I'll add it to my To Do list.

HA-HA-HA LET ME TELL YOU A THING i read too many to list :y

Generally I read most of Weekly Shounen Jump titles cuz it's pretty much my kind of taste (i'm a preteen boy apparently). My current favourites that leave me with so much hype I can barely contain myself are: Tokyo Ghoul, My Hero Academia and Haikyuu!!.

MHA is so awesome oaefwrehgowe;;!!!!! I learned of the artist some time in high-school when he had a series called Oumagadoki Zoo running in Jump and I absolutely adored his imaginative designs. It had a short run due to low popularity, sadly. So it was awesome to learn that he has a current series when I googled his name several months ago. It's been a great ride - I've already re-read it to the current chapter twice because it's just so good. The characters are ultra likeable and the art is just OOMPH. It's a series with a really strong lead.

Oooh Death Note... I hope you make it to the end. I feel like the second half isn't as strong but I was more or less OK with the ending. Still, I'd probably prefer if it went more like the live-action movie... Even if it's a bit sad. I don't think there's much need to think while reading it since the characters will explain everything about the twists anyway =v=

Oooh! +Anima! It's a really sweet story.

I've never heard of the ones you mentioned TIME TO LOOK 'EM UP Also I saw in another topic you mentioning not only Haikyuu but Gintama and Nougami neuro and hnnn I have yet to catch-up with Gintama (srsly i've been trying for years but it keeps sitting in my bookmarks untouched in favour of everything else) but Neuro... Oh man. The last 22 chapters I was reading it while crying constantly ovo;;;; It was amazing.

Yes I love Gintama. Sorachi is planning out how to end it now. No spoilers but STUFF has been happening. I do also love Haikyuu. I've never been big on sports IRL but the characters are endearing and the faces they make are hilarious.

Neuro is kind of special to me. While Death Note was the first manga I read ever, Neuro was the first manga that I branched out and looked for on my own. Like, I only read Death Note because I liked the anime. It was Neuro, Skyhigh, and D.Gray-man. It's been 10 years since then and the site I read it on isn't even up anymore.

I haven't read MHA, but I am reading Tokyo Ghoul:re. Some other things I'm currently waiting for updates on are Otoyomegatari, Wakabayashi Toshiya's 4-koma Collection, Noragami, and Gangsta.

G,... Gintama is... ending...? I... I feel awful now OTL" it's like i missed the train on a glorious ride. Reading a long-running series after it ends feels totally different from keeping up with something weekly as it updates. It's like you're not as connected OuQ Shit i better get on catching up with it ASAP so i can at least cry with everyone else when it's over. Also at this point Sorachi has made enough livelihood to live as a cheesecake, right..? I hope he has. that's the only reason i can accept him stopping.

I never thought I'd ever read sports manga... But then I read Eyeshield 21. It.. It was so great. You also get to see Murata become the awesome artist he is. Which reminds me I'm also always looking forward to an update of Onepunch-Man - either the original drawn by ONE or the redrawn Murata version.

was it onemanga? ufufuu but ah in that way FMA is deff the special one to me. im currently on a mission to get the 3-in-1 volume set so i can force ppl to read the whole thing haha. i have 4/9 books for now.

ooo yo you read stuff i dont so i keep needing to look shit up :y on that note r u excited for D.Gray-man's return cuz i need to re-read it ahaha;; i also read Our Happy Time that you said you recently read and aaaa i was in tears. it was a good read. i kinda wish i could read the original novel and cry even more.

It's not ending-ending yet. Sorachi is getting there though. He said he's making plans, but we don't know just how long it will be. I'm sure you'll have plenty of time. And I would think he's made a decent amount to live on, though I don't think his dreams of being a cheesecake will happen. It's a sad truth. I know I'm looking forward to whatever his next work is.

Ha, yeah, it was onemanga.

D.Gray-man is a reread for me. I read it so long ago but stopped for whatever reason. I think it stopped updating but I don't really remember. I know it went on hiatus for a bit but maybe the updates just slowed down. Then it updated and when I tried to reread it I couldn't remember anything that had happened. But I am happy it is resuming. I remember it being an interesting read.

IT'S LIKE A THREAT. And it's there... Becoming a cheesecake is one thing but he could at least maybe live doing nothing |D I know it's my dream too.

The author has health issues of some kind. Maybe carpal? I haven't looked into it. The first hiatus resulted in the manga being moved from a weekly to a monthly publication. I believe there might have been another hiatus in the middle of that run but I might be wrong. And this last hiatus had been going on since 2012, I think. It now runs in a quarter-year schedule someone said??

And I always had trouble following it. I read it very long ago tho. But I never got as into it for some reason.

I never really looked into it either but, yeah, I want to say she had issues with her wrist. So maybe carpal tunnel. I remember it had an interesting premise and art, but really, the only other thing I can seem to remember is "Clown Crown" and that it had something to do with Allen. That re-read is on my to-do list but it's not so much my top priority.

u haven't read anything in a while MEANWHILE i caught up with Gintama! BD it's weird to read it on a weekly basis now. and i see what you meant about stuff happening... it's been ages since a purely gag chapter and it makes me a lil' sad tbh haha

7 Deadly Sins is pretty fun. i'd probably like it more with a different lead but i like the cast all right. and Shokugeki is surprisingly enjoyable beyond boobers lmao how are Koi to Uso and Choujin Gakuen? their synopsis sound all right but...

only ones among them im not reading are the last three. and i MUST say... Maho Shoujo of The End looks the most eye-catching haha maybe cuz im remembering Madoka Magica

I haven't read or watched anything in weeks. I'm still so far behind even on Gintama. Video games are distracting.

They're both alright. Entertaining enough to be curious about where the stories are going but not enough for me to check everyday to see if they've updated. Koi to Uso chapters are irritatingly super short. Like less than ten pages. Sometimes there's a bit of a gap in the story between chapters. If you end up not liking it at some point, it won't have been much time wasted. Choujin is cute and has a unique art style. It's maybe not one to binge on though. It slows me down a bit.

I would put Deadly Sins and Shokugeki a little higher than Koi and Choujin as far as my interest in them goes.

i'm currently reading i think 13 or 14 different mangas D: so much to try to keep up with, but my library just has so much of it to read that i can't stop. the main ones that i'm paying most attention to right now are psyren and blue exorcist. psyren is really excellent, and i'm disappointed it didn't get an anime. maybe they'll change their minds someday? :3 oh and i've also been pretty focused on mixed vegetables as well, because it's got a cute storyline :3

Skip Beat. My favorite heroine of all time. Still ongoing, so that's a big unsatisfying as it's been running for ~12 years and the main characters haven't even revealed they like each other tear.

I just reread Soul Eater since it had been a while.

I'm keeping up with: Akatsuki no Yona (this is honestly my favorite series, except maybe FMA. they're pretty even) Akagami no Shirayuki-hime Noragami Tokyo Ghoul: Re Alice in Borderland Maoyuu Fairy Tail Assassination Classroom Yamada-kun and the 7 Witches

I'm probably forgetting some but those are the ones that actually update regularly
