There are literally hundred of cults on the list that only have one member (the creator) and their accounts no longer even exist. This makes it difficult for new users to find an active cult to join. Would it be possible to clear out the cults that literally just take up space so that maybe the ones of us who would like to create an active cult per our interests could do so? The last cult I joined looked nice, but only one person had even posted in it in the last 5 years :/

If there is a better forum to post this in, I'd be glad to move this post elsewhere. Also, I know it wouldn't be an easy job so I understand why it hasn't been done already. Just a suggestion that I feel would better the site.

Also, just a question from the uninformed, why can we not currently make new cults? Is it because of the over populace? I have led/ been an active member in many cults (or the sites equivalent) over the last decade and I have always very much enjoyed creating a fun and active environment for my cult members. I would very much like to do this on Subeta as well. Any education you have for me on this would be great and appreciated. Thanks much :)

I have never participated to any large extent with any cult because of the mass of empty groups that I was confronted with when I first joined. This was close to nine years ago and I still forget cults exist. It would be pretty awesome to just get rid of these leftovers, and it might get people interested (ahead of the revamp that is probably/supposedly coming).

Yea according to Keith the whole cult system is broken and there is no plan to fix it. I love this site but I feel like, with as much broken stuff as there is, the focus should be on fixing things instead of coming out with new features.

The only thing that's probably going to be happening with cults is their total removal of the site, as forum groups made them obsolete.

would support the removal of cults. I don't really know how many active ones we have, but I have heard they've been broken forever. they seem like another feature that was brought to subeta because neo had something similar and they've just been around forever because of that.
