I'm pinging because we've asked for clarity several times on this issue and not received any.

What exactly constitutes as being a spoiler in the shoutbox? There are people right now who make the odd comment like "Oh these ghosts are giving me trouble" or some similar variant...I don't feel that the rest of the users in the sb should be yelling at these people about spoilers when this doesn't seem like a spoiler especially when backseat modding is not allowed as we've been told numerous times as well.

Also in the past we've been allowed to discuss previous plot steps in the sb so long as the next step has been released but now some staff say this isn't allowed while others say it is ok when they are in the shoutbox watching things. So is the discussion of prior plot steps ok or should we avoid it?

We really need clarity on what direction we need to go and what to steer clear of since it varies so much depending what staff member is in the shoutbox or every staff member should at least be on the same page with things involving site events as it becomes really confusing especially for newer members.

I know I'm not staff so this is really just an opinion but I would think discussing previous plot steps is okay, but as of right now there is only one step. So I personally would just avoid talking about the plot at all for the time being, simply because I don't really know how much time staff considers long enough for users to catch up to the point that it's no longer a spoiler.

Though no I don't think "These ghosts are giving me trouble" really counts considering it's right there in the achievement that everyone can see
