Anyone off to the Great British Beer Festival this week?
I'm heading there tomorrow; not for the beer though, I'm a cider drinker ;)
I'm sure it's going to be lots of fun and lots of tasty new ciders to try. You'll have to excuse me if I'm a bit slurry tomorrow evening ^_^
That sounds like fun! Have a great time, !
never been to one, but after I got seriously drunk on cider when I started dating hubby ( back in 97 ) I rarely touch it though I do love Thatchers cider and its made up the road from me, well I do live in cider territory lol
would love to go but I live on other side of the pond we do have those here though almost each state has there own so if you were to hit all of the states that are connected that would be one hell of drunk lol although there not all at the same time or called the same thing

- yeah, I'm on the other side of the pond too. Drink some for me! That sounds like fun (and yummy). :D
I hope you have a great time (I am a new fan of apple cider myself). My husband wants to go to the beer Oktoberfest in Germany some day. He will have to go without me... ;)
: There's a lot of cider there...you'll enjoy yourself for sure. Have fun. I would love to try some of the dark ales, stouts and porters.
Have a grand time ...my fave is peach cider which is wicked, but very sneaky. You don't realize how strong it is because it tastes so darn good! :)
Have a glass for me! I too think beer = ick and cider = yum. =0D
Do you have a rare item that just won't sell? Are you going through the high levels of Item Hunt? Or maybe you just HATE that blue bunny? Then you should join IHH helpers and IHH bargain in the forum groups!
Cider lover here too! Always have some in the house. And I am allergic to beer, LOL! Have a wonderful time!
: Have fun at the Beer&Cider festival tomorrow. :)
- thank you I did ^_^
- ugh not good. I'm not sure if Thatchers is one I can drink, I can't have anything fizzy.
- Sounds like one heck of a challenge lol
- I definitely did ;)
- yay to more cider fans ^_^ Don't think I'd want to go either, too much beer probably not much cider.
- something like 85 ciders and that's not including the pear ones! I did have fun ^_^ My friend drinks those ;)
- lol that seems to be the case with most ciders, too damn quaffable. I've not had peach cider unless you mean the fizzy stuff.
- yay, just one more reason we are friends ;)
- yay! I wish I had some permanently around but it seems super hard to get the real (i.e. flat) stuff in bottles :(
In New England sometimes they even advertise hard cider on TV and at least the major liquor stores will have several varieties.
; I could swim across the North Sea and join you, but I'm not overly fond of swimming in the sea, lol. The GBBF sounds great though! Just did some reading. I'm not a beer drinker either (gluten allergy). I like cider, but my favourite is Mead :)
Have a great time & have one on me!
Our Okanagan Valley cider makes a lot of cool varieties...white grape, pear, black cherry and my fave peach. Not really fizzy. Love the crisp tang on a hot day!
- What is "hard cider"?
- don't blame you even in the summer the north sea is cold brrrr. I've tried mead before but it was too sickly for me, I'm not overly keen on honey either.
- aww that's really sad :( The ones I go to always seem well behaved. We do tend to do an afternoon early evening session though.
- Sounds nice. I probably couldn't drink them though, has to be 100% flat for me ;)
A basic hard cider is an alcoholic beverage made from apples, pears and occasionally quinces and is called simply cider in Europe.
