I think the graying of the avatars adds an extra dimension of beauty. Maybe it can be an option - maybe click a box if you want your avi to show up in grays instead of color?
I hope so.
Would be cool if there was a slider bar so you could adjust how much fading your HA has.
I would prefer a filter or two, considering how pixelly the grey HAs are if you don't have a background on
I enjoy how the HAs look and you cannot get this with a regular filter. This is BEAUTIFUL and I kind of want it.
Agreed a filter with a slide for brightness/contrast would be amazing!

YES. THIS.
That would be lovely!! ^-^

I'd really love something like this since I like making monochrome HAs.

Would be cool... I bet we will get the option once this is over with.
I can only see this getting implemented as a transformable item for this plot's rewards. e.g.: Faded Bottled Memory - gives the HA a 100% grayscale filter, transforms from or into Half-Faded Bottled Memory - gives a 60-40% gray filter, transforms from or into a Fading Bottled Memory - acts as a 10-20% filter, just for a little touch of grayness.
Just do it

sorry I just had to.
yeah it could work as a few different items if they don't want to implement a slider bar (which would be a lot of work and only included in wardrobe v3) I like that idea too.
@ kbbob THATS WHAT I'M TALKING ABOUT so sexy
I think the slider bar would be a feature that, if not implemented for everyone, would make newer users or those who didn't participate in the plot be excluded from having it. The item, thus, gives the possibility to more players have access to it. Please don't turn this into a Wardrobe Bhakoru.
oh I wasn't thinking it would be plot exclusive (I would hope it wouldn't be, plot prizes are good enough imo), I was thinking it would be a new feature for v3 wardrobes where they have a filter section and you can adjust how much of something you want to adjust... idk I'd only ever use b/w probably.
I am all for this!
I love monochrome HAs and this would make things so much easier.

I think I'd prefer some filters or some kind of adjustable slider rather than one singular toggle, but I hope we get something from the plot :o
the issue with having it as an item is that… no item can actually give the effect. you can have a semi-transparent foreground item that tints the entire avatar, but not actually remove the color of every individual item. i'm pretty sure they're doing it now with CSS, which is why some items' transparencies are not responding particularly well to the fading and that's why some avatars have weird pixelly bits around them. so i'm not really sure how this sort of thing would be implemented, but it'd be cool if it could be somehow - maybe it would have to be a toggle or something.
