Well, I guess making an option to chose between thin or fatty while making your avatar isn't an option (it'd take SO long to re-draw everything in male AND female versions...). So I think we should have some belly items, like the that overlays the main avatar.

The basic idea is to start with unisex plain-colored t-shirts just to release the plus size clothes option, and later some new polo/dress shirts, some singlets and other options to female characters, all of them plain-colored or with patterns (striped, checkered, polka dots...).

I think the main objection that pops up everytime something like this gets mentioned is that the items either wouldn't be very useful, or that they wouldn't layer well with stuff.

[topic not found] [topic not found] [topic not found] [topic not found] I wouldn't mind seeing a few items, but I think it would look strange for the HA to have a belly like Pete and then normal everything else.

Well, I guess if it's a little belly it'd not influence the rest of the body so much, so no need to change anything else. And about the items not layering well, it'd be only with a very few items, like auras, maybe... I think most people wouldn't mind of not being able to wear like... 15 items out of 15k+

Something like this would actually affect pretty much every wearable in regards to layering though. Even something like a jacket, cover up, full body items, etc are all contoured to the current body shape. This issue crops up all the time when I try and use the various animal parts. I can't usually layer anything on the legs or most arm and some body items or shirts just because they cut off in weird spots. Even some backgrounds don't work, they affect the feet shape and give toes.

But we do have some maternity shirts and the pete wearable, so I don't see why we can't have some more. Who's wearing them need to be careful with the layering, but it's not like the person will put an overchest item for a thin avatar in a pete apron...

It wouldn't bother me one way or another if these items get released, I probably wouldn't ever use em. Unfortunately they wouldn't be used very much by most users just because of the lack of layering possibilities. Subeta needs to make items that appeal to as wide an audience as possible. Not saying this will never happen and the idea gets brought up enough that we will likely get a one-off set of shirts at some point, but they will probably be few and far between. Just like the animal parts heh.

I hate saying it, but you might try looking into making a Custom Wearable, either by doing one yourself or having one commissioned. That way you could get just what you want and I'm sure there would be enough interest to fill at least a batch or two :)

Oh, I thought I couldn't exceed the HA base, that's why I thought we needed official items: because we can't make body modifications/facial features. Good to know, thanks :D

[edit]Actually, it seems it's not allowed:

Quote
You may not submit any images that edit the avatar base or replace features in any way. This includes repositioning arms or legs, but also restricts drawing original facial features. You may submit clothing that enhances these features such as makeup that works with existing base eyes or lips.

Ohh I apologize then, I thought that rule had been changed! I swear I've seen some CWs that reposition the arms using robes and things but I guess I must have gotten that mixed up with official items. However that might be outdated and never updated perhaps, as some base edits are allowed, such as animal parts. Don't see how a belly shirt is any different from wolf legs in that regard.

, could you answer this? Thanks :D

Yeah, the CW option isn't allowed at the moment

Here a user provided a denial from CW.

I really love the ones that drew up here and would love to see Subeta add some of those style.

I don't really think we need these, just because of things that were already said. There are few people who will use them and they won't work as well with other items. If we did get some, I wouldn't whine but I also would never ever use them.

I am still 100% behind this. And as for the arguments, still, they are… Not that well thought out. Sorry. "Not many will use it" … Uh, much unlike ALL of the other wearables ? Everything else is well used and loved ? Come on, that is possibly the most lazy argument ever. "It can't be worn with other things as easily !" Hi, welcome to the face layer… Where most items don't layer well. Want the site to also stop making animal limbs because of the same obvious reason ? No ? Didn't think so. "It would change how everything else is done !" … Literally no ? I mean, what ? Alright, this might be the laziest. "I just don't like it." Cool story bruh, at least you're honest. And you may now cram it because clearly this is not for you.

There are other arguments but meh.

I am going to be "That Guy" and ask why. I am honestly curious and don't mean to argue just to be an ass (part of this is because I was debating revamping dresses that I had once sketched out). We're allowed to make waist cinchers that cinch a good deal (my Extremely Strong ___ Ribbon's), or limbs of various things (such as animal legs that completely alter the look of the HA's). We're even able to change the bust size depending on what type of top we do. But why not a pregnancy belly ? All it is, is an enhancer. Obviously it's ultimately up to you lot and I won't really argue, just very curious as to what drew the line, if anything in particular.

I'm also curious about the reasoning re: the CWs tbh.

I support getting some wears like this, I'm sure like with every other niche wear, there's people who'll get use out of it.

THANK YOU, exactly... Not everything layer well. And we need to be aware of that when we're gonna do an avatar if the pregnancy/belly shirts are released.

Are animal legs allowed as CW? I guess not, because I never saw one that wasn't an official item. In the CW submission page it says that we can't change the avatar base

Actually there are dozens and dozens of animal leg cws. They are apparently against the rules but there they are.

I would honestly love some fatty clothes? I am a rather large squid irl and have been working hard on loving my body as it is, and I would one hundred percent embrace the ability to dress my avatar like a fatty. Man I want crop tops with a tum hanging out, I want sweaters with some extra bulk that isn't because of the heavy wool, I want form fitting dresses with a visible belly outline.

Who cares if everyone doesn't it?????? Like honestly, is that your argument?????? I don't wear seventy percent of the shit in the wardrobe probably?????? Get the fuck out of here with that. If there is an artist who is willing to draw the stuff, there WILL be a userbase who will wear the fuck out it.

There are also animal parts that affect more then just the legs.

- Changes arm position. - Changes ears. If these can be claimed as being part of a costume, why can't the maternity shirt say it's a fake prop one? They make fake ones for men to wear and for movies. - Changes legs and even makes the HA taller so even more of a modification.

When they started adding in animal parts and the like I thought for sure they had changed the rule entirely on body mods (just no face changes allowed). These items and the other animal parts change the body far more then a pregnancy shirt would in my opinion. And if the submitter labeled it as a "fake pregnancy" shirt would that be accepted"

It's not like staff was in a hurry to release maternity clothing, because none has been released or revamped since CWs were a thing.

they should be allowed

I'm usually not one to really care one way or another when it comes to wearables, but every time one of these boards it made it typically gets the reaction of "people probably won't use these much so they're not really worth the time to make".

Which would be fair enough, except for the fact that these boards keep getting made. If no one really wanted them and wouldn't really use them then why do these pop up every other month or so (be it for belly creating items or maternity items)? I feel like this is a thing that's wanted and even if a small group of people were the only ones asking for this, the fact that people ask for this should be cause enough to see some made?

I mean 95% of users probably will never use all those awesome mustache/beard/body hair items we finally got but that doesn't mean they shouldn't have been made y'know?

There's some really nice stuff that could easily be made to fit the ha "normally" and then copies of the same item could be made to look "chubbier" (Idk what the right non-offensive term to use for this is, so I'ma use chubby).

Ex: those really long summery dresses: Number 1 & Number 2. Ex2: Maternity shirts, without the bump they actually just look like classy normal shirts: Number 1 (Fun fact, despite not being and never planning to be a Mom, I have a bad habit of buying XS/S maternity shirts because they're super stretchy and comfomy and I like that)

I've got no suggestions for guys off the top of my head, but classy beer-belly joek t-shirts/tank tops would probably be fun, idk?
