Item names make all the difference in the wardrobe. Depending on the name, an item could be anywhere based on its alphabetical order. Right now the names are not consistent at all, sometimes it's (colour) then (item name) other times it's (item (colour) name). Basically that means that items are everywhere.
By naming an item 'Green Arm Warmers' we are separating it from Blue/Red/Yellow Arm Warmers. Since we have well over 10k items, it's just messy. I know I could search up arm warmers but it can be a hassle to do this repeatedly each time I want to change my outfit.
I would like to see it changed, instead of Green Arm Warmer it would be Arm Warmer - Green, Arm Warmer - Red. This is so simple and yet so needed.
Anyway I know that this would be a huge task, but the wardrobe is only going to get bigger and messier the longer it stays this way
No thank you. It's really not that big of a hassle to just search what you're looking for, I tend to just dig through my wardrobe for things and search when I really can't find something specific (but I have a relatively small wardrobe). I just don't think this is worth staff's time to do tbh (and personally I really don't like the format Arm Warmers - Green, we just wouldn't get any more creative wearable names at all? Ehhh)
Maybe instead a wildcard search where you can go red * suspenders or large * rubber where it searches around the asterisk? This allows colorful fashion and item names without regimentation.
If you want items in the same area so badly make a drawer for it. I have over 17k items and have absolutely no problem with how things are arranged. If there are some Blue Arm Warmers, I know there's like 6 other colors too, so it's not much effort to just type it in.
No support.
Unless I'm misunderstanding what the asterisk is supposed to do
I would honestly find this more confusing, and there's no way you could rewrite the names of all 25k wearables on-site without creating new problems.

hey yeah, you did understand! That is what I was talking about. I knew you could use % here for words shorter than four letters, but didn't know you could use it for internal phrase searches.
that makes the item names hideous and i know i would sell lots of gallery wearables if this happened
Yeah, an item color with the name at the end honestly just sounds odd to me. It also just doesn't look that appealing aesthetically so I'm going to agree with the rest and say no as well.
I feel like a better solution than renaming everything is: When the item tags get implemented (if that's gonna be a thing? I remember the whole thing where we wrote tags for an item but don't remember the resolution of it/announcements of if it's been implemented or not), have an item tag search in the wardrobe. That way you can search for something like "purple" or "bird" and have all the purple items in your wardrobe or all your birds show up.
they/them/theirs, please.
