Just curious if anyone here cosplays. I've finally given in and have decided to start putting together a cosplay of Jenny Flint from Doctor Who. I'm going to cosplay as her to the Pennsylvania Renn Faire Time Travelers weekend at the end of September. This is Jenny if you aren't familiar with her. This is the top shirt I bought. These are the boots. I needed/wanted a new pair of boots anyway so that's a plus. I just need a pair of black pants, a black undershirt, and a black scarf to go around my waist, so simple enough.
Anyway, if you cosplay, who do you go as? Post pictures because I think it's awesome
I'm cosplaying as Star Lord at a convention this fall! Super excited!!! I have just about everything I need for the outfit. Though I need to decide if I want to DIY the mask or just go out and buy one.
Also, Tina Belcher is my spirit animal so I will be dressing up as her as well.

That sounds so cool! I'd love to see pictures once everything is put together!
And Tina is awesome. I've been watching Bob's Burgers since the series premiere a few years ago. It's such a funny show. I'm glad people are finally realizing it
I was going to cosplay Makoto Tachibana from Free! Iwatobi Swim Club but I decided to skip the cosplaying this year and keep my civil clothing for the con I'm attending.
yes!! i love cosplaying! its honestly such a good feeling god im so stoked for you!! My first cosplay was Ed from Cowboy Bebop pic And then I did Medusa from Soul Eater pic and i have a current wip for mary from .hack//quantum

anyways i love cosplay its so nice when people like your costume especially if you worked super hard on it lol !!!! <3
I don't cosplay currently (severe lack of funds and abundance of social anxiety...) but eventually I plan to cosplay as Wiccan from Young Avengers, Cedric Diggory from HP, and I'm short enough to maybe pass as Bilbo Baggins...
I did a Fiona (Adventure Time) costume last year and am working on Hera Syndulla for DragonCon. This is really the first costume I am making. My Fiona costume I just bought some clothes and sewed a hat so I dont really count it .
I wanted to do a group cosplay of the Wizard Bus group from Adventure Time but most of my friends cant go this year so I ditched the idea of being Abracadaniel.
I'm not super huge on cosplaying, but I dressed up as (a female) Red (with my stuffed Pikachu) from the original Pokemon games at the Expo in my city back in the spring. Being someone so recognizable was pretty fun, and it's always nice to see the kids get so excited to see the 'Pokemon trainer' haha! I also had a guy serenade me the Pokemon theme song, so that was pretty hilarious.
My friend really enjoys cosplaying too, so it makes me want to do it more when she's with me.
Woah, that Time Travelers weekend thing looks awesome. That's near where I live, too! o: Gosh, I wonder if I should/could go.
I've never really cosplayed before, but this year for Halloween I'm trying to work on putting together a really cool Scarlet Witch costume. :x
I used to be all over it, but money got in the way. My biggest cosplay has to be when i cosplayed Ciel Phantomhive from Black Butler. Then I got into homestuck 3 years ago and was cosplaying from that for a few years but now I'm hoping to cosplay a lot more. I just like the feeling of someone getting excited to see me because I'm dressed like their favorite character.
This convention in november, I'm hoping to cosplay Kenma from haikyuu and Tsukiyama Shuu from tokyo ghoul. In the future though I wanna make armor for Skyrim cosplays. I just dont have the space to make armor right now
You should totally go. Maybe we could meet up for a cider/ beer (if you are old enough) and a turkey leg, lol.
I love Scarlet Witch. She's a total bad ass. Good luck!
I LOVE cosplaying so much. I cosplayed as Ariel last year at Otakon. I'm going to the NY Comic Con with my bestfriend in October and am buying worbla and planning to spend a ton of time and make an intense cosplay.
♥ art by me // art forum here // or comment to haggle
That would be fun for sure. :D
Thanks! Good luck with yours too. c:
I haven't had the opportunity to cosplay yet. If I ever get the chance to I want to cosplay as Captain Retsu Unohana from Bleach. My hair is as long as her's. The captain uniforms I see online don't look very good so I don't know if I'll need to make my own.
Cosplaying for the Fanime convention in San Jose is a goal of mine, hopefully I can achieve it in a few years.
My sister and I are going on the 19th, so if you go that day, let me know. It will be fun!
; I don't know if dressing up for a medieval/ fantasy festival counts as cosplay (rain into a few Doctors this year - that was freaking awesome), but anyways....I plan on dressing up for Dutch Comic con next year with my BFF. We have several ideas; MLP, Tim Burton/ Jack Skellington & Steampunk =3
I've only ever successfully cosplayed one character, Jack Zimmermann from the web comic Check, Please! aka the saddest, most Canadian college hockey player ever. My friend dressed up as Eric Bittle (the main character; Jack is his love interest). I went to Anime Boston all the way back in April.
It was pretty comical when we first tested out makeup/wigs because I'm naturally blonde; the black eyebrows were the biggest shocker tbh. See the photos here!
Someday I want to actually sit down and make a Captain America cosplay. I already have like 3 friends who will cosplay skinny!Steve alongside my Cap lmao. I'd probably go to Boston Comic Con/Connecticon as well as AB, too. If I could afford it, I'd definitely go to NYCC, too.
