question about extra slot

[sub]since they have given out the extra slot from the quests (if you completed at least one of course), is it a slot that is permanent? such as, i create a pet, send said pet to someone to have it changed into a pet i could not normally get (bhakoru for instance), and then they send said pet back to me. would i still have that extra slot so i can receive my pet or would i have to use a totem to "re-open" that slot?[/sub]

The slot is permanent, yup.
Just so you know, the fact that you created a topic without a title made it so that it's not showing up in the regular thread list on this forum, for me - I got here out of curiosity that the Help & Questions from the main forum page looked like a logic puzzle.
