Items that are in unlimited supply in official shops like the Zombie Den and GoOutside!

Just because it's priced 7M in shop search doesn't mean this is the worth. Especially with GoOutside, where there is no restrictions and no time limits. There are 0 reasons to put a massive premium on the item.

Maybe to catch out people who don't know better or dont do their research? ..or are in a hurry...Considering some of the "Overall price/price today" on the hovers..someone must be buying.

I myself know for a fact that DURING masquerade, while people were still dancing and getting trinkets, when Lounge trinkets were selling for 3k or less I offered the going rate to buy the Platinum Bags (i was stuck on a tablet and bulk buying from shops on one of them is nearly impossible). I was basically told by one user that "User shops value is 6.5m, so no thank you." -that one was at least polite, though I'd have respected them more had they simply said they were going to wait for prices to rise after masq instead of implying they were after quite a bit more than the current going rate of the currency in question. At least one other user said flat out they were selling them to other people for way more. I may hate math, but i can do it when I must. And I know that if Lounge trinkets are 3k and a bag costs 500 of them, 1.5M is the total...buying them for 6.5m? ...that would put each lounge trinket at 13k. Yet, people were evidently buying them from that particular person at a large enough gap between my offer and SS that they didn't bother offering me a figure in turn because i'd have paid a tad more for convenience sake, they just got snide and kind of nasty in their reply...like I was somehow trying to rip them off was the implication. Not everyone was like that, there were plenty of people willing to buy me bags for shop price of the trinkets for easy conversion! But it does underline the fact that some people will pay at or near SS value for no apparent reason other that it's SS value.

-For the newbies, the Bronze, Gold and Platinum Bag of Steamworks Trinkets are not some limited prize or vanishing item that might have added value as a collectible - they are in the Libertine Lounge under the year 2011 tab. You are literally only limited by the amount of Lounge Trinkets you have to buy them with. Also, for clarification's sake, the exchange rate is two lounge trinkets to each steamwork trinket, so a platinum bag will "cost" 500 lounge trinkets and give you 250 steamworks trinkets when redeemed.

[edit] cough I'm sorry if I sound a bit rant-y there everyone. It's a touchy subject. I like to think i offer fair deals to people on my items and I would like a fair deal when I buy things too. Don't get me wrong, it's your item, if you want to ask the moon for it, go right on ahead...But please keep in mind there are plenty of polite ways of saying "we're not ever going to agree on price" without implying someone is trying to rip you off or that you prefer to wait for those more willing to offer you exorbitant amounts, because, you know, SS. XD And no, i'm not disparaging all the prices on the Shop Search, but common sense would be nice.

This is why I'm so glad that shop search is starting to tell us where items can be found. I hope it can save people from being ripped off.

Yep. I have/had some holiday shop items to get rid of that were in pets' TCs, and I priced them all at or below what they cost (or would cost if you bought the tokens or whatever) in the official shops. Probably pissed off a lot of scalpers, but I just want to get back what I paid for them, not take advantage of people.

Mhm this is why I hate when I'm wardrobe shopping and I see one color of an item that is like 14 mil and another that is 60k. Like...something is up here lol

i like the new shop search feature too, it has definitely saved me from overspending, especially since i take a lot of breaks from the site and always manage to miss most of the special events/holidays

I've bought a couple items from the zombie den on accident, but I've been lucky and bought things for 80k that are probably 65k in the shop, nothing too bad. I am super thankful for "this item can be found ____", it is so nice. Lots of things in the carnival shop are selling for high prices too, it would be so easy to get duped over that stuff when I just go out buying for achievements. 15k over the "restocking" price is one thing, but millions is just deceitful.

There have been a few threads like this on Suggestions & Ideas, including mine for items from GoOutside, that was right away implemented. IMO it's bullshit if you buy a item that costs 30k and has unlimited availability for 15m. If you see any items that come from a certain shop (mostly new shops like the Carnival Prize Tent), put up a board there or show support for a thread c:

I've been on Aywas for over 5 years and I legitimately had no idea some of these items were in those shops. Either that or the SP portion was just added. I'm pretty sure I paid 2 million for one of the items in the zombie den at a point when you could buy a 100 credit gift card for that much.

ok but to be fair i suffered as a 2011 zombie for four years to always have access to the zombie shop, and imo the zombie skin thing as a change in/out is kinda annoying bc it devalues my suffering. (also the fact that they never released a zombie 4ever after the first two years??? suffering) like i agree, in some sense, as a hoarder of trinkets, that the inflation is kinda insane but the zombie den was DESERVEDLY inflated for a long time. maybe im just old and bitter

I was away from the site for a long time, and I didn't even know that Go Outside existed until today. I'm glad I found it, because I considered buying some of the things I found there and they were way inflated in user shops.

Still, I don't think a lot of people are doing it on purpose. They're just autopricing and not really paying attention like everyone else.

People will price them what they want, but you can't hold them responsible for you buying them. Should they also hold your hand when you're clicking the button "buy"?
