I've never used a zapper but with the new pet slot we just got I decided to make a zap pet. Is there only the 1 zapper in the Darkside? Just used it and it turned my new escalade into a lilac swampie, yuck! So you just keep zapping the same pet over & over until you get something you want at random? Any tips or suggestions? Sorry for questions, but I was hoping to find a zapper tutorial or guide.

There's actually two zappers! v1 & v2. I have honestly no idea where the v2 zapper is located anymore but here's the link to it. It's more risky than v1 though and can zap your pets minion and items in your inventory, so be careful!

Set alerts for the zappers to get more 'zaps' in :) and just pick a pet you don't mind messing around with.

Is there a particular color you're interested in? I know some people will repeatedly change a pets species back if they're hoping for a certain one (like if you want a GY montre, repeatedly using a montre elixir etc.) Can get costly, though. And you're aware that you can't get certain colors, correct? :)

No particular color/species, I will have to look over the experiment pets before deciding.

I like the common 8001 and the chibi experiments 3164, 333 and 1550. Does the zapper give chibi experiments or do you have to use a chibi potion on the common version?

Hey , it's good for getting extra Treasure Chest slots cheaper and Zap-Only minions, too (if you don't mind some inconvenient side effects). Try looking up the neocolours fansite: there's a subeta pet colors chart that might be helpful. Good luck getting something you find interesting!

I don't believe you can, as the news post when they came out says "As with all chibi pets, it seems you can get these chibi experiments by using a chibi potion on the common version of the experiment. "

I could be wrong, though! I haven't really used the zapper much since the chibi pets came out.

edit -- I think there's just one now! It looks like the two have been combined. My bad! I haven't used them in a while like I mentioned (I just potion them, normally) so I was probably mistaken :)

There used to be two zappers, but they revamped the zapper not too long ago. So there is only that one zapper now.

You might want to keep your inventory clear and/or lock items you don't want destroyed, because the Zapper can occasionally affect those items as well. If you want a certain gender of a pet, I'd recommend putting a sex berry in your vault, just in case, since the zapper can also change genders.

Also, if you're going to be zapping a pet, attach a cheap minion to it; someone mentioned before that sometimes the zapper will alter your minion. You can remove the minion and replace it when that happens, make a little extra sP by selling it. They're pretty rare and expensive. ;)

You asked a while back if you could get Chibi Experiments from the zapper. I can confirm that you can, since my Blade Dancer got zapped into a Chibi Experiment . Not sure if you still needed to know or not.
