I had to view my "Your Pets" page before I got the event... (Though, maybe it was just a coincidence. If it was then it was strangely accurate timing because the alert appeared almost instantaneously when I viewed the page.) You might try that if you haven't gotten it yet. -shrugs-

I got it while looking at my achievements page about an hour later and then died at my computer before getting to edit the post. XD
