Classroom Rules
Terms generally last for 3 months, give or take a few days.
There are a few different types of coursework for lessons. Each class will have what type of coursework it requires at the top.
Multiple Choice Questions - Just like with any class, there's bound to be assignments that will test your ability to absorb the information you just learned. Multiple choice questions are one way we will test that. All lessons of this type will require that coursework be sMailed to prevent cheating.
Short Answer Questions - Similar to multiple choice questions. This will test your comprehension skills. Most of these lessons will require that the coursework be sMailed.
For both multiple choice questions and short answer questions, points will be awarded based on the accuracy of the answers.
Essay Questions - Professors may ask that students write short essays to open-ended questions. Usually, these will not be too long in length, as to not require anyone to write novel-length submissions, nor require the teachers to grade essays that are that long. These will generally be allowed to be posted directly on the course thread, but with spoiler tags.
For essay questions, points will be based on comprehension of the subject being written and ingenuity.
Discussions - This is one of our roleplaying types. The professor will give their lesson, then open up the thread to discussion. Students can then discuss with the professor, along with the other students, on the topic. Any demonstrations, actions, etc. are also allowed.
Practical Lessons - This is another of our roleplaying types. The professor will give their lesson on the practical uses of spells/enchantments/etc., then you will be required to try them out! Use your imagination. Keep in mind to keep it realistic--not everyone will be able to cast spells quickly and accurately the first time!
For both roleplay types, the points will be based on participation, however, professors may award extra house points for particularly clever discussion answers or as part of the roleplay. We ask that you remain in character for these lessons!
