I thought I was going crazy when I found that Saggi's payouts were terrible, now I know I'm not alone. Others are feeling the burn, too. Some people have lucky breaks and have given me their questing breakdown, but it doesn't seem to be as frequent. Saggi was one of the biggest ways I earned sP and now he's becoming worthless.
Those of you who are having the odd bit of luck with Saggi, please don't come here and say there's been no change when there have clearly been changes going on.

People shouldn't rely on Saggi alone to make profit.
But seriously, the payouts are not as good because the rare items are getting more expensive, due to quest week. A lot of people, including myself, accepted to have losses on Saggi, and get profit from everyone else, including Quentin and Cinthia, for the sake of the 500K
Saggi isn't anywhere as profitable as Maleria and Pete can be. Plus, Wizard is giving up to 55K per quest.
Go read the topic in Announcements about quest changes.
It obviously needs some time to see the effects.
I don't pay attention to quest details and I'm no economic expert, but...I think what's happening is that the items Saggi usually asks for are rising in price. Due in part maybe to the quest event, maybe to other fixes Keith's been pushing lately. But since Saggi usually asks for rares and super rares (I think?), and those things are supposed to be more expensive, I'm not that worried.
It's true that the last few times I've done his quests I haven't made as much pure sP profit as before. But then I've done other quests and made out like a bandit, with sP profit and good items to sell or frag, so if you take that into consideration it's not so bad.
Basically I'm not worried about Saggi's quests yet. Maybe give some time for the event to end and the economic fixes to do their work, then see where they stand.
Also: What's "normal"? That tends to vary wildly around here, from person to person and situation to situation XD
There has definitely been a change with not only what he asks for, but what he gives out. I find that I'm barely making any money with Saggi, and I refuse to spend more than 100k on his quest. I'm hoping he goes back to normal after the quest-a-thon is over!
I just made 600K profit from it, and it could have been 700K if I didn't do two 150K quests that caused me losses.
However, only four quests out of fifteen were over 100K, and one of them was profitable, two were not, and one had to be dropped because lol750Kitem
I was also asked for no elixirs and only one jewellery item
Therefore, Saggi is much, much, much better than he was yesterday, where I had a 450K loss on him.
The average item request was less than 50K, and the rewards were between 67K and 150K. This is a really great payout since you're doubling your assets most of the time.
But yeah, compared to the past two days, Saggi is much better.
This. I'm one of those people as well. I don't expect Saggi to start becoming profitable for at least another week or so when the inflated values from quest week die down.
That said, Saggi was notably dismal last night. He's asking for some super super expensive items, to the point where I think I declined every single quest, which is pretty unusual. But that's just one night and in the middle or quest week. I personally wouldn't argue for any kind of tweak or reset to his quest until we know what the new restocking/vending machine changes will bring.
In fact, I bet this would get more notice if it were posted in the Site Updates "ECONOMY" thread which specifically addresses recent changes to the items quests ask for.
Edit: Also, his payouts haven't changed. It's just the market price of the items he's asking for has gone up so profit is less. That's a different issue entirely.
K so before the quest changes I could sometimes nail a 200-300k prize, but I have seen ONE quest give me an above 200k prize since these recent changes. I'm not spending less than usual or more than usual, and for the most part, I don't see where a lot of the prices have changed on the items he asks for.
I documented my quests today and although yes, I did make a profit and I HOPE it's because of these economy changes, I also was asked for a total of 3 super rares in all 15 quests. This is highly unlikely for him and I want to see what happens when he's asking for his super rares. I quit 2 quests, one because of one of the new items, and the other because Orange Breathmints currently have a lowest SS price of 5 mil despite the fact that it was 30-40k before rares were taken out of the vending pool. This doesn't sit well with me but that's beside the point.
On the three that he asked for super rares on, I lost profit on one (spent 154k) and made a profit of 1k on another. Considering most of us think them being super rares is going to give us a bigger prize today's notes I made kinda negates that which I find weird. I made more profit when he just asked for rares.
With all the changes Keith has made recently I think NOTHING needs to be changed until we see how things level out (which I'm sure is the plan). We as users need to exercise a little thing called patience. It been a whopping 7 hours since the Economy announcement. How can you demand changes with a days worth of "data"? That just doesn't make sense.
All that aside, I still made a good profit from Saggi today.
I made about 4m in profits just from quests today. Not from selling any of the items, just from the quest payouts. I never got less than 130k from Saggi.
But yeah, please, let's get his payout back up.
bird and bear and hare and fish give my love her fondest wish
I keep pretty good track of my quests. Before the quest-a-thon, Saggitarius would occasionally give sP rewards in the 200K-300K range. Yesterday, I didn't get a single sP reward above 155K. It didn't seem to matter if there were "super rare" items thrown in to the mix or not. It could perhaps be bad luck, but I don't think it's coincidence that a lot of people are feeling the lack of love from Saggitarius.
I made quite a bit of profit yesterday, about 2.3mil just in pure after doing everyone. Saggi may have a lower payout now but it seems some others were increased.I usually only got between 1.2 or 1.5mil in sp.
I think before messing with him again that we should wait a bit and see how things even out. A lot of items are probably a little inflated due to the quest a thon.
And as aways "not all quests should lead to mass profits, or even profit" and so on.

He seems fine to me? I've gotten payback between 100-200k. Is it in reference to the recent outburst in prices because of the Q-a-T? It will go down, I guess. I also see this as an interesting thing because I get to throw away some of my hoard collected in my shop. Most of his expensive items came from artificial inflation and they are quite inexpensive and were easily vended (mouthful of them in my shop).
So I'm not sure if he really needs to be fucked up touched a bit again.
💖 ✨ 🤗
my luck for today
1. Quit because wtf AI on big time
2. 12k sP for 4 quest items -> 115k reward + rare item (100k profit + rare item value ~25k)
3. 65k sP for 4 quest items -> 213k reward + cheap item + 1 QP (148k profit + 2k for item + QP)
4. 60k sP for 3 quest items -> 128k reward (68k profit)
5. 23k sP for 4 quest items -> 172k reward + cheap item (149k profit + 4k for item)
6. 20k sP for 4 quest items -> 94k reward (74k profit)
7. 150k sP for 4 quest items -> 240k reward (90k profit)
8. 25k sP for 3 quest items -> 38k reward + QP (13k profit + QP)
9. 60k sP for 4 quest items -> 103k reward (43k profit)
10. 73k sP for 3 quest items -> 123k reward (50k profit)
11. Quit this one, wanted a 370k item (Gray Super Soft Fox Plushie)
12. 35k sP for 3 quest items -> 152k reward (117k profit)
13. 60k sP for 4 quest items -> 105k reward + cheap item (45k profit + 6k for item)
14. 73k sP for 3 quest items -> 163k reward + QP (90k profit + QP)
15. 150k sP for 4 quest items -> 136k reward (14k loss)
I stopped doing his quests for a little while because I would be at a loss continuously. Now? I am pleased with a 973k sP profit (probably closer to 990k, I rounded a lot of numbers and started out with 150k in my pocket and came out with 1.139m)
I noticed he doesn't ask for extremely high priced items as much anymore which is a nice change. I didn't have to debate whether I should quit the quest or not.
Just gonna repeat what some other people have said:
This has to do with the mega inflation/less items on site from the quest-a-thon.
This has nothing to do with payout changes.
Yea, not profiting as much from Saggi sucks, but fuck I'm making up for that from Alex now, and not to mention Pete, Maleria, Wiz, and Mori/Nori are actually hella generous, like they've /always/ been.
[edit] Might as well prove a point:
a rare that is usually 2500 is now 30k. Did it anyway. Spent: ~75k Reward: 159,515sP Profit: ~84k
four items all normal priced Spent: ~15k Reward: 201,890sP Profit: ~185k
another rare usually at 4000 is now 25k, plus a rare weapon/book which are always inflated Spent: ~115k Reward: 112,830sP LOSS: ~3k (hardly a loss and honestly I expected that)
asked for a rare elixir that was deflated (only 50k), plus three other items Spent: ~65k Reward: 254,495sP Profit: ~189k
three rare beanbags, all normal prices (under 5k) Spent: ~13k Reward: 155,064sP Profit: ~142k
all rares, one of which was weapon Spent: ~41k Reward: 75,403sP Profit: ~34k
three rare foods, all about 20k above their normal user shop prices. Spent: ~67k Reward: 98,874sP Profit: ~31k
all rares, one is usually pretty inflated regardless Spent: ~32k Reward: 73,428sP Profit: ~41k
all rares again, three of which are hella inflated (one is 40k over normal SS price) Spent: ~90k Reward: 66,955sP LOSS: ~24k (again, definitely expected this, but I'm tryna prove a point)
all rares, one an ATG Spent: ~25k Reward: 57,687sP Profit: ~32k
two rares (inflated), one super rare (was deflated, actually) Spent: ~60k Reward: 111,457sP Profit: ~51k
two rares, two normals (one was def inflated) Spent: ~37k Reward: 60,372sP Profit: ~23k
two inflated items that are normally overpriced, plus two items under 5k Spent: ~52k Reward: 159,127sP Profit: ~107k
three rares, two of which are inflated. one super rare that is deflated at 50k (aka the only reason i'm gonna do this one) Spent: ~107k Reward: 211,086sP Profit: ~104k
four rares, two of which are normally overpriced. Spent: ~40k Reward: 162,141sP Profit: ~122k
Clearly he still is giving out his normal rewards. The only issues I've had is when I want in expecting to only pay 10-20k based on hover prices, and end up shop searching to see that all the rares are inflated. Otherwise it looks like I made bank.
ALSO LOL THOSE BOOTS JUST PROVE IT EVEN FURTHER. I AM DONE HERE
You really shouldn't be given rewards in the 300K-range for normal questing. That's great for special weekends, but on normal weeks, that's not something that should really be a thing.
If this is the case, I'm so glad it was changed.

I meant between 200K and 300K, not over 300K. I agree that anything over 300K is a special weekend quest reward. But if Saggi asks me for two super rares and two rares, and then gives me 100K, that's far less than what he would have given previously for the same thing.
I've been really slacking on my quests lately but I'm trying to work on that. I did just Shinwa and the Library so far today, and I made almost 500k from Alexander alone? Like why does Saggi need to be tweaked if I'm making that kind of bank from the Library, a quest I previously dreaded doing because I don't actually check the values on my item rewards? [edit] And I made ~750k today from Saggi, I really don't think that needs to be increased. It's already 1.5x what I made from my next-highest quest giver today
I know in the Economy topic, Keith specifically mentioned that the quest sP payouts had been increased
[quot=Keith]That means for a temporary amount of time those quests will provide a higher sP prize, but it should equal out over time.[/quote]
I still don't think that means Saggi needs to be changed more.
