I see sometimes users keep some of their items private I assumed it was because they only want certain people to have them?

But if another person does get a copy... why can't they trade it?

I am still fairly new with CW's so sorry for the silly question xD

Thank you!

They can't force you to keep it if you don't want it. That's silly.

If you did not agree to a "do not resell" clause, I feel you have no reason to be subjected to it.

Some people buy a public copy of a private (per example, during an auction) for X CSC or $$. However, if you buy a private from a friend or someone else and that you've agreed to the "no sell/trade/lend" policy that they have applied to the CW itself, it's polite etiquette to ping/comment the person before selling to say if they'd like to buy it back or if they agree to sell it to the person you're trying to make a trade with.

Private CW gets a lot of shit everywhere on the market - and much drama. I've seen private being sold for the whole price of my rent for a month, tears and backstabbing. There are no policy on Subeta about you selling the item. Ultimately? The item is Subeta's property once it is uploaded here (or so I've heard).

there is no official position of Subeta, the idea of "private" is seller-generated only. They would like you to pretend that they own license to their CW. If you wish to be on good terms with the seller then you can voluntarily opt to comply with their lie. But you don't have to, since they don't have the power to grant license. All user-sales in Subeta are fee-simple for scrip. License to all items of all kinds and rarities always belong to Subeta.

Sounds like they dont go over well with the crowd xD Which totally makes sense, seems a bit odd to me... Guess I will never want to even own a private CW xD

Thanks!!!

People don't like them because not everyone follows the seller's rules and obviously then people get upset by it. People are bitter about the fact that sometimes a single copy of a private item is auctioned off, and the creator is just being greedy by doing that (but I mean, I've seen what some designs get auctioned for and it's ridiculous, and the only way they're going to make even half of it back is to auction a copy of their item).

Personally I feel really honored when someone invites me into their private group, I don't really see it as a status thing I just appreciate that they were thinking about me ^_^
