I think it would be useful if we could have advanced filters in the shop search. Even if it was just distinguishing between cash shop/custom items and ordinary items - I for example often type a keyword into the search, but constantly get custom and cash shop items that I am very unlikely to ever be able to get. Other possible filters could be whether the item is wearable, for example, or could go in a collection. Could this functionality be made possible?

I'm not sure we really need these, but I never use the Shop Search unless I'm looking for a single specific item (or trying to remember the exact name of a specific item). If you're looking for items that fit a certain criteria, you can just check inside the wardrobe or on Subetalodge. Either one would work a lot better than the Shop Search that only shows you a handful out of the full list of items anyway.

Hmm, I didn't think of searching via Subetalodge...I guess that could work, I'm just accustomed to the shop search by now.

I don't know that we need that many filters, but I would still like to see an option to exclude custom items from a search. Last time I mentioned this though, I was told to use Subetalodge. Yeah, I could (sometimes do), and it's a very handy site and all. But I dunno, I just like keeping things as simple as possible. Don't really like to have two tabs open when one should suffice.

But I get the feeling that I'm probably the only one who would even use such a filter, so whatever, I won't push it.

I think it could be useful but I don't like to clutter the page so I'm undecided! I too often want to buy all of just a specific item type but if there isn't a keyword common to them all then it's harder to do. Plus I can see it being handy when I know that something was "hmm spring something wearable items" but can't remember the name.

Usually I just use Subetalodge for those needs but it would be nice to not have to leave the site.

I think it could be useful to have a box that says even something like "exclude r200 items" to remove custom wears from shop search, tbh. (Similar to the way "ping friends" looks beside the post box in the forums!)

I end up using subetalodge for pretty much all of my 'keyword' searches anyways, but I think a lot of people could benefit from being able to remove custom wears from item searches on-site.

all or nothing, it's written in blood.

Like Seerow, I wouldn't want to clutter up shop search.

Since adding links to redirect you to trades/main shops/etc it really functions great as is as a tool for finding where to purchase an item you already know you want to buy.

Though, as much as I like subetalodge, it would be great to have a good on-site tool to search for items...I just don't think it should be through shop search. I would rather more filtering options be added to the item directory. As it is now, the item directory is pretty useless outside of sorting by item ID to find what are the newest items. Not very functional as an actual directory.

Being able to filter out CWs would be a delightful change, tbph. Not everything has to be minimalistic to be clean.

Oooh. I like this. I'd be totally happy with leaving the shop search as is if this were implemented.

I'd love an option to remove CWs from the shop search tbh.

I'd like better search options period. Maybe not on the shop search page, but perhaps something better on the subeta search, or even in the item directory building, or some new page altogether. Each type of search (shop search, subeta search and item directory) give us different info and some of the info isn't found in any of the places.

Examples of information impossible to find - which shop houses a specific item. Sure most plushies are in the Plushie parlour, but there are also some in get mugged, Thmible & Co, and others. Yes, SubetaLodge tracks this info as best as we can, but we don't know for sure, we make mistakes, and, for example with the recent demise of the magic shop, we don't know where some of the rarer items ended up (they're still listed as magic box).

Multi-use items - in the item directory, it does list item use (thank you!), but as far as I've been able to determine it only lists one use even when there are multiple uses.

There have been a lot of improvements with the item directory building, both in the info available and search options, and that's a good start. But we need more.

I love that idea! When I'm working on collections it's super helpful to know if I can get plushies/beanbags/wearables/etc. from a shop other than the one I'd expect. The Subeta Search doesn't seem to really give enough information, so I super support that being tweaked as well. And yes I definitely think the item directory building could be more user-friendly. As a relative newbie, I'm still not really sure how to use it to its fullest potential.

Exactly. Even as a old user (8 yrs), I haven't fully explored all the changes yet. Its possible that much of the info I want is already there, but I haven't figured out how best to use it.
