I personally collect currency from around the world, both banknotes and coins. I love traveling and learning about other countries and cultures; I'm even majoring in linguistics in college. I like having pieces of that country and just thinking about where they've been and their history. Plus, more often than not the designs of the currency are just so beautiful; it's like having a piece of artwork. c:

I don't really collect anything, but your collection makes me miss my necklace that my parents recently lost - it's a 1918 twenty centavos coin from the Philippines that was minted in the US. My grandma brought it with her when she came to America, my mom found it many years later but for some reason it had a hole punched the edge of it so I always wore it as a necklace. It's a really nice coin, but when the chain broke I gave it to my parents to get it fixed and they lost it orz I was really attatched to it and everyone always asks about it, and it was nice having a part of my family's history with me.
