I am having withdrawals from the following TV shows:
What TV shows are causing you to experience withdrawals?
Lost Girl, mostly. Ohh gosh, Lost Girl.
I'd also say OiTNB but I think it hasn't been long enough to go into full blown withdrawal.
I've only watched the first episode of OITNB season 3 so far bc I'm trying to hold onto it as long as I can XD What is Lost Girl about?
Star Trek: Enterprise
I know a lot of people didn't like it but man, I loved it so much and I wish there were more than just four seasons. ;w;
Ahh yes I couldn't help it, I binge watched and saw the whole season in less than 24 hours XD.
Lost Girl is about a woman who finds out she's a Succubus and there's a whole world of Fae that lives right under the noses of humans. There are Light and Dark Fae and every one is supposed to choose, but the main character Bo refuses to choose a side and instead protects humans from both sides of the Fae with her human best friend Kenzi.
Did it play until through until the end or did it just abruptly get cancelled? I watched the first and only season of Star Crossed and was heart broken to find out that it did not get renewed :(
That sounds like it's right up my alley! I'm gonna check if it's on Netflix. Have you tried out Sense8? I feel like it's too early to have withdrawals from it, but I want to see more. It's also a Netflix original series :)
Lost Girl is totally on Netflix! It's greatttt. The writing suffers a bit in the later seasons but I still love it.
Yes I have! Sense8 was so good, man. I loved Nomi and Sun best <333
I love Nomi! I think it's amazing that Netflix has at least two shows with transgendered people as main characters.
Netflix is really stepping up its game, other things are gonna have to follow suit to keep up. It's shows are so popular right now.
I agree. They just cranked out a bunch of shows recently, too. I actually saw commercials on cable for Sense8 & OITNB for the first time within the past couple months. I'd say my favorite cable channel in terms of dramas would be ABC. They've got Pretty Little Liars, Scandal, and Once Upon a Time. Don't make fun of me for loving Pretty Little Liars :P
I like PLL. Well I like making fun of it, but I also am absurdly attached to Hanna at this point so I couldn't give it up if I tried.
Ehhh, I don't know if I have a fave channel atm. I'm so picky. I watch Orphan Black, Lost Girl, South Park, Steven Universe, Agents of SHIELD... Those are most of the shows I watch that air now, most of my favorite shows have ended now.
I loooooove Hanna + Caleb.
I used to be a South Park fan and just started watching some newer episodes. I enjoy them for the most part, but sometimes they go a bit far.
Random thought: I would be pretty happy if they had a revamped Buffy. I loved the 90s version but I think it would be nice to have a fresh take on it.
They do sometimes go too far but more often than not I love South Park.
Buffy is my one true love, I'd probably riot if they tried to remake it haha. There's a comic! Go read it if you want to keep getting a Buffy fix, it comes out every month and it's on season 10 now. It's quite good! They can do things they couldn't on the show, have demons they never could have had the budget for.
Oh! And Hanna and Caleb are adorable. They're the only ship I can stand on that show.
I think I'm going to re-watch the entire series on Netflix, I noticed they had it on there. Then I'll move along to Angel. Are you more of an Angel or a Spike fan? I personally prefer Angel.
Did you ever watch True Blood? I'd have to say that is my favorite TV show EVER.
EDIT: I'm not a huge fan of Aria + Ezra. It feels forced at this point - well it's felt forced for a while. They are obviously NOT a good match. Spencer is definitely my least favorite character on that show; belligerent, privileged, pushy rich girl.
1.veep 2.silicon valley 3.sense8
I think I'll try 3 episodes into the new seasons and see if I'd like to continue them. Some are kind of rocky sometimes.
Aria and Ezra are gross and they've always been gross and why are all the girls perved on by people who are older than them and need to take steps back from the underaged girls. Like, seriously, how hard is it for shows to have people who are out of high school to NOT date high schoolers. It's just inappropriate 95% of the time, because it never seems to be a relationship between people a year apart it's always seniors in college or some shit. Caleb save me from these skeevy men.
I like Spike as a character more, but I don't ship Buffy with Angel OR Spike. I think they're both just... not gonna work. Now FAITH and Buffy....
Nah I've never watched True Blood, it's never seemed my style. I'm actually not big on horror most of the time. Buffy is as hardcore as I get lol.
I'm usually hooked by the end of the first season. Sense8 captivated me. It's original and there's never a dull moment at this point in the show. It took a little while for Lito's story to pick up, but it picked up. I love the way everyone was truly intertwined by the season finale.
On that note, why did the COP kiss the underaged girl? They acted like this was totally normal and not weird at all. At least they acknowledged the fact that there was a HUGE problem with a teacher dating a high school student.
The only thing I hated about Buffy was that vampires didn't have souls and if they did, God forbid that they are happy. In True Blood, the vampires could still understand the difference between right and wrong, remember their lives before being turned, and had emotions other than kill, kill, kill. I'm not too big on horror, either; I would categorize True Blood as more of a drama with intense violence.
I WAS SO PISSED ABOUT THAT. God. Ali is trying to go straight. Or at least I hope she is.
I like the soul thing, personally. They're pretty much my default understanding of vampires now.
It's a really nice show. For me its just..the almost death scenes that are kind of getting to me. I know every ones cool and all. It just gets to me a little to much. I wish they had another way of that evil Dr. to find them, because it feels like the only reason they have those almost death scenes is just to have him get to know them. I couldn't take it. The OMGOSH is he gonna!! Nope:/ nah he's fine:L Like they didn't HAVE to force those scenes just so that we go, oh yeah that evil guy is still chasing them. or in some cases, why even have them if nothing happens anyways? Just say that their sad or depressed and move on.
I feel like Ali has something up her sleeve as usual. I've never trusted her. How do these girls not EVER make the right decision when some crazy shit happens? Did it not cross their minds that the more people that know about A, the safer the town would be?
I could say the same about True Blood as my default understanding of vampires. Favorites play a big part in our perception ;)
I enjoy the near-death scenes although I will admit they make my heart rate go up! I think the most intense one for me was when Wolfgang was in the house vs. like 20 people. I can't wait to see where things will go in season 2.
