Ever since the 'fix', I can hardly restock anything anymore. All my usual shops, I wait for around 20+ minutes and I don't even get a rare item. Is everyone else having this problem? My sP income is taking such a big hit lol.
/ complain
Restocking essentially sucks now. It was the one thing getting me through these horrible newborn nights. Since the fix, it's quite certainly been a waste of time and pretty infuriating at that.
Yes, I noticed that as well. Restocking is not fun anymore x_x I wish it would be as it has been before.
Not only restocking isnt fun anymore, doing quests isnt worth it anymore either because of the inflated prices!
My CW thread ❤️
Ugh. I am like so sad. Haha. Subeta made me so happy because you could actually restock, unlike Neopets, which you never made any money trying to restock. I hope they do something about this.
, are quests actually like that? Ugh! NOOOOO. LOL
Yeah if I do all quest I only make like 500k profits by doing them all :/ Probably 1 mil with golden account but I dont feel like it is worth the efford v_v
My CW thread ❤️
Unfortunately this is exactly what the staff wanted to achieve with the " fixes " ( = moving away from restocking because it's outdated, not unique and too much like Neopets ) so I doubt that anything will be done to make restocking more fun again.
Yep. My income's taking a hit because I'm not seeing the regular mid-level stuff stocking much anymore. I feel like we're back to the "only a couple of items restock at a time" model, which is not very fun or effective for those of us who live on mid-level item restocks.
It's also already affecting quests. I had to decline almost half of Pete's because those items were 50k or more, and thus not worth it. My total income from all quests today was about half what I usually make.
Ugh! Just like Neopets. I hated restocking on that horrible site. I guess I'll give up on it here too. I'm profoundly disappointed.
Yep, this is definitely a current problem. Enough so that it has revived our massive feedback thread about the RS issues. RSing was much better a couple of weeks ago though, and Keith did help to get it back under control after the first RS revamps were put through before the most recent glitch from the past week or so. He's tried working on it since then too, so while it's still not working at this time I think it's likely he'll come back in to improve the situation at some point. It's most likely just a matter of when.
That's exactly WHY I left Neopets D:
UHHH NUUU. I would make around 1mil a day with the quests ;~~;
Wait the staff wanted it to be like this? That's not fun :c restocking was such a fun thing to do and I actually felt like I could do something worthwhile :/ I don't think they would take that away from us?
So is he planning to fix it completely to be a new system, but same as how it restocked before? I can't make any money lol.
It was actually already revamped to run on new code in the past few months. Originally staff did say they wanted to basically do away with RSing for all the reasons mentioned. That led to a large backlash though after the revamp was pushed through, and afterwards Keith reworked the new code to work more or less like it used to before the revamp (there weren't quite as many good items sitting in the shops as there used to be before the original revamp, but you could certainly still make a very good RS profit). The most recent glitch wasn't an intentional site change or anything, and Keith did come in to try to fix the code again to work as it was before (it just doesn't seem to have taken). Based on that, while it isn't working now, I think we've got a good shot of him putting it back to how it was a couple of weeks ago. It's just a matter of when he has time to go back and work on it again (I hope).
Thank you for your informative information, it has been so helpful! So I really hope it gets pushed back to how it was a couple weeks ago because it was awesome. And yeah, I can imagine a large backlash because that was how we made our sP lol.
No problem! :) Happy to help. And yeah, if it takes too long more people will start getting peeved about it too, even those who don't RS. It messes up the entire economy when this happens, including questing, and once quest rewards start getting messed up a whole bunch of users start to come out of the woodwork to vocalize their displeasure.
LOL. It's so true. I love playing pet sites because I get to learn how inflation works in economies. We become so smart 8D I love Subeta because they use real life items and now I am able all these items that I wouldn't never know the names otherwise. Like all the flowers and random items like the tongue depressor (which I use to just call like dr. popsicle sticks). LOL.
Off topic, but just being excited.
Yeah, what Tefibi said. Keith reworked the restocking to be like this until a general outcry got him to change it back, and we've been enjoying the "return to normal" for a few weeks now. But evidently there was some kind of glitch a few days ago where stores weren't restocking. Keith said he fixed it, and ensured that rare items would be "trickling back in".
Kinda feel everything got turned down to a trickle again in the process.
For what it's worth, commenting on the Unfix Restocking thread in feedback might help. Not sure that anyone's going to see this thread where it is.
I too love restocking. It's what I do on the site. Without it, I...really don't have anything to do.
It needs to go back to what it was. The items have def NOT been trickling back in... I see one rare item in ONE shop after an hour. Where before I could've snabbed like 10-15 in all different shops and made over 500k.
And I agree. It made me feel important! LOL!
And believe me, I commented on that! I'll do it again, and again. slams fist LOL!
I feel the same way. I'm resorting to raiding my vault and frag storage for sellables - it's really bad. :c
I just feel at such loose ends! I don't know what to do with myself if there aren't shops to browse through! And the thrill's gone. It's the same few bits of junk; it definitely needs to go back to how it was.
