Several of y'all know and I know some even know the struggle she's been going thru. For those of you who don't, in a nutshell her dad has been very sick. She's been killing herself trying to get in enough hours at work to be able to fly home to be with him but sadly, this was not to be. Her dad passed away earlier today. =(

With so many of y'all in both the Lair and the Wayward Squirrel I was going to try to sort out who was in both but our group is so full of compassionate and caring people I changed my mind and decided to ping all y'all. I'm not sure how she'll react to a wall of pings but when I found out my mom wasn't going to make it and there was no way for me to get to her to say goodbye, you guys were my rock. And right now, lovecraft needs a rock of her own.

All the times I've busted up laughing at the gifs you post or your witty remarks.. I wish I had bottled them up and could give them back to you now. My heart aches for you, hon. I know what you're going through and how hard this is to accept and come to terms with. I can't make it go away but I can let you know that I care - my thoughts and prayers are with you, sending you tons of love and all the positive energy I can muster. ❤ ~Laurie

So very sorry to hear about your Dad ...I'm sure he knew how much you wanted to be with him. My dad passed in 2010, but I will carry him always in my thoughts and heart. May the joy of the good times help you through this difficult period. (Bear Hug)

I am so sorry to hear about your dad. I know how hard you were trying to get there to see him. He knew that as well. I know exactly what you are going through. Time will lessen the pain but it will never lessen the love you have for him or the memories you hold.

Right now trying to find the right flight and all that. I don't have issue here cus friends have all said they would drive me to airport no matter when. Its once I get home and relying on family that I don't talk to and deal with is the issue. :(

: Dear, I cannot even imagine the pain your are going through right now, you must feel terrible. Just know that our prayers are for you and your family in your time of grief and sorrow.

My dad defended me/protected me and always knew the right words to say when family was harsh or mean towards me. And now my defender is gone. And I have to face them alone. I have to be there for mom but I don't want to be around the rest of them. They will pretend they care but I will feel their harsh words from the past just being around them all. My visit I had planned was going to be a sneak in without them all knowing and sneak back out.

So sorry for your loss. It is so very hard to lose a parent. I pray for you to have strength and peace.
