I feel like I am exhausted 99% of the time. Like I only got 2 hours of sleep. I usually get anywhere between 6 hours to 10 hours of sleep which is really weird so I dunno.

Have you spoken to your doctor about this? Sometimes it's a sign of other issues. Sleep apnea, depression, or an iron deficiency are just a few possibilities that come to mind, but there are lots of potential causes that would need further investigation. Your doctor would be able to run some tests to see if they can't find an answer for you.

In the meantime, you could always try taking Melatonin before bed. A lot of people (my husband included) find it helps them get a more restful sleep. Do a little research on it, and start with a small dose to see if there's any improvement and go from there.

Good luck. =)

Same here. I have chronic exhaustion. I'm tired a huge portion of the time, no matter what time of day/amount of sleep/etc. I agree with that you should talk to your doctor. There really are a bunch of medical reasons why you may be tired. Although I'm going to be 100% honest with you, I've had bloodwork run multiple times and my doctor cannot find anything wrong with me. =| The best thing I found is to take prenatal vitamins. They make me a BIT less tired, so I can function enough to live.

Aside from low iron levels which have already been suggested (good idea), have a blood test to get your B12/folate levels checked and a thyroid test as these are common health reasons for extreme tiredness.

Definitely talk to your doctor bout it & if your doctor isn't concerned bout it, find a nother one. I was gradually getting more and more tired all the time. Mentioned it to my doctor, had blood tests & a sleep study done. All came back normal. Said it was just part of getting older. I always felt like my tiredness was not at all normal. Everyday after work, I needed a 3 hour nap & I still got 7 hours of sleep at night. In addition to that, any time I wasn't doing anything active, I felt the urge to nap. I also found the normal daily activities became more and more difficult, like I felt like I was 60 instead of 30. I had no energy to do anything, cept work & sleep, and I forced myself to work, otherwise I'd just sleep 12-14 hours a day. My depression also worsened because of this. I switched doctors, and began increased meds. Nothing seemed to help. On a routine checkup, I mentioned being tired (I stopped mentioning this to doctors, since I was so used to being told, my tiredness was normal), and my doctor became very concerned. She ordered blood tests & a sleep study. When I told that in the past, nothing was found wrong with me, she mentioned I most likely had hypersomnia or narcolepsy. After I few additional tests, it was found that I had narcolepsy. Finally! I had an answer as to why I was tired all the time. I got put on meds to treat this, and am doing much better now. So yeah, being tired isn't normal. Have your doctor try to figure out why.

, I was tired for most of my life, before I started getting treated for depression. There's other possible explanations of course, but if they don't find anything physical then that would probably be the next thing to look into. Some things you can do in the mean time, have a strict and regular sleep pattern (oversleeping can make you tired too), exercise, eat decently.

My advice for what it's worth: First, try to have a set sleep schedule. Next, include more fresh fruits and vegetables in your diet. You could have one or more vitamin/mineral deficiencies that are effecting your energy levels. Third, drink more water. It will help flush toxins that build up in your body. Finally, try meditation once a day. Even 20 minutes can help balance out emotions and energy levels better than most prescription drugs. (Please do your due diligence with prescription medications. An increasing number of studies suggest these are not nearly as effective for depression and emotional issues as doctors have been led to believe and the side effects usually cause additional problems down the road. At best, you're often only trading one problem for another. And I do speak from experience here.)

I hope you feel better soon!
