I went thrifting today with one of my friends and I ALWAYS end up buying stuff I do not need. Luckily, I only spent $5.00, so it's not too bad. I have a weird obsession with coffee mugs and I ended up buying like... eight coffee mugs. WHO NEEDS THAT MANY?? I'm just attracted to vintage-y floral patterns. All of them are floral patterned, except one. The last one says, "I <3 GSO", which is the city I live in. xD I'm excited to use them for my future apartment, but.... eight coffee mugs >_>
Does anyone else lose control when they go thrifting??
I always end up buying old trinket boxes, I have like 5 now and I only use 1 of them ;o;. My mum has the same problem with mugs and now we have 30 of them and we never use them lol
My mom also has a problem with buying mugs from thrift stores. She has way too many for her cupboard and tries to fit them all in there and it is stressful to open because I'm afraid one will fall out. :O

Jesus, yes. Thrifting and garage sales. I'm terrible when I go to both. I buy so much shit I do not need. My main problem is buying little figurines. I collect little ceramic animals, like Wades or Hagen-Rennaker, but I will buy pretty much any cute little ceramic/metal/etc animal figurine. And planting containers. I have so damn many pots with flowers in them. I'll see a little container of some kind and be all like 'I NEED THAT' and then I'll take it home and have to get flowers right away to put in it. Recently, it's been revolving around fairy gardens, which is my newest obsession - basically gardening with miniature plants in small containers.
Ugh, I have the same problem, but with tea cups / mugs. ;O; I tell myself there's no way in hell I'll be able to transport them all (in one piece to boot), so it's best not to buy any more. Problem arrives when I get them as gifts, because people know about my love for them, and I'm like really?? Do you like not understand I'm going to have to move?? AND YOU BUY ME BREAKABLE CUPS? WHYYYYYY NOOO.
Oh dear yes, I'm so glad I'm not the only one with the mug obsession. I just bought one I totally didn't need because I thought it'd be perfect for my future apartment someday. Why do mugs equal success in life?!
Is there a mug addicts anonymous I can join? I definitely have a problem buying too many every time I go thrift hunting. It's really hard to resist a pretty mug when it's only 50 cents and you're a coffee/tea addict. I always reason that I'll wind up using them all, but somehow I still stick to only using a select few favorites haha.
Yes, I am trying to control "Trying" to limited myself to mostly just jewelry, they take up less space haha when I go to thrift stores. But I love vases, ceramic animals, jewelry boxes, but yes it gets to be too much. You should see my MIL I think she will be on that show hoarders soon, her garage is filled, and she has a back room that a few years ago was so pretty now its slowly getting to be a storage room. And when we try to get her to throw stuff from the garage we get the same answers as people give on that show, "this I want to sell at a garage sale" "this is worth x amount" "no I want to keep this" ect.
