Greetings!

I decided to create a thread for myself, since the other related thread was moved! I would like to still have a chance to meet more people on the welcoming board. ^_^

In all the chaos of this year's Neopocalypse, Subeta was mentioned as a place to go. And so here I am. With a maxed out hoard of darkmatter pet underworld characters.

I've been playing Neopets since 2001, and several other pet sites since 2007. I love creating characters and building worlds to draw and write about. Designing the appearances and personalities of characters is the best. Like most interested in this, I have hundreds of characters I love! Almost half of them are pet inspired characters from pet sites.

I want to get to meet some people here, but don't really know how to make friends. If you are an artist, post links to your poetry, stories, photographs, illustrations, etc. If you just enjoy the arts, tell me about your favorites! We can talk books or games!

• I dislike dishonesty and do my best to live without lying, and with honor and justice.
• Many people find me difficult to deal with because I speak my mind and DGAF. Kek.

Hi there, Pretty! I'm Kingly! I found this site because of Neo's nonsense as well. I was ranting on their facebook page when someone posted a link here. It seems like this site has all the things Neo always lacked.

Seems like we have a similar taste in music, and I like tea too. Have you poked around in the shops yet? There's tea cups... and they're adorable. My favorite tea is a tie between Seattle's Market Spice, and this blend of peach and hibiscus that my friend makes. (:

I'll have to go look at those teacups! I've gotten some of my favorite teas from Seattle. I haven't heard of Seattle's Market Spice, but I'll try to find it. The last tea I got was from Steamposium which had The Queen Mary Tea Room as vendors at the fashion show and tea party. The blend I fell in love with is called Queen Mary Victorian Grey. It has china black tea, assam, rose, orange, cornflower, vanilla, bergamot, and creme.

Some kind anonymous user sent me a gift box with an item called specialty tea! That really made me smile. They also sent me watermelon with an epic pirate hat, and a strawberry pie! It made me really hungry, and now I wish I could be eating strawberry pie, even with how hot it is right now. I created a gallery so that I can show off the cute subeta items I am collecting!

You too? I received a couple gift boxes after mentioning I was new. People here are so generous, it's really refreshing.

That sounds like a really delicious blend. If I ever come across it, I'll be sure to try it. My favorite local tea house, Elizabeth and Alexander's, cycles in lots of different types of teas so I get to try many new ones all the time. Do you have Teavanas where you live? We recently got our first one and I really enjoy all of their different blends, even if some are a little bit strange.

For some reason, most of Teavanna's blends include the fruits pineapple or pepper, both of which I am allergic to. So, unfortunately, there's not much from them that I can try aside from very basic and rather boring things. If you ever get a chance to go to British Columbia, check out Aromatica Fine Teas. Two of my favorite teas are from there: Stress Blocker, and White Cherry. The stress blocker is super relaxing when I am dealing with anxiety, and is composed of mistletoe, bean, saintwort, birch, ginkgo, nettle, and lemongrass. Most relaxing teas contain chamomile or lavender, and I love lavender, so it surprises me that I love this one so much even though it doesn't include either.The White Cherry has paimutan, darjeeling green tea, china fog, lung ching, jasmine jade pearls, cherries, coconut, and rose. Can you tell I really like the floral teas? I'm always up for trying herbal blends. I love anything sweet! I hate bitter teas, actually... What kinds of ingredients do you like?

You know, I don't think I've ever had a tea with mistletoe, it doesn't seem to be a common ingredient here.

I like sweet teas too, but I actually don't mind the occasional bitter tea. When it comes to ingredients I'm really big on fruit. Cherry, pomegranate, and raspberry are some of my favorites. But my very favorite ingredient is jasmine. When I was a child, there was an overgrown jasmine plant outside my window, I became obsessed with the scent and I can never get enough. I even started learning how to make my own tea with it.

Oh man. I love jasmine teas. A couple years ago I had one for my twenty fourth birthday when I was at a traditional japanese tea house and garden with my partner. We shared jasmine jade pearl tea and mooncake. Ah.. teary eyed Mooncake and lavacake are two of the best things in the world. If there were ever a reason to live, it would be to eat more mooncake. You talking about childhood aromas makes me think of perfumes. My mother wore sunflowers and my other mother wore jasmine. Both of those flower scents are nostalgic for me. Jasmine reminds me of the summer, and sunflowers remind me of the winter. You'd think it would be the other way around....

Hey! You nabbed a really nice username there. Welcome to Subeta! I'm an artist (I draw digital stuff) but I don't have updated stuff. I've been playing neopets before I got here too but that was a long time ago.

LOL. The "Neopocalypse". Same here. I've been loyal to Neopets since 2001-ish, maybe earlier? It just went downhill so fast. sigh I had to move all my OCs over to Subeta and IMO it's so much better! I can actually make money!

I like hiking, geology, turtles, tea+coffee, anime, manga, drawing, crafting, teaching, and dogs!

Oh wow! I have heard of the Neopocalypse via Tumblr, and I gotta say, its a shame the site is going out that way. I haven't been on it for a few years now but still, it was my first pet site.

I was on Subeta too, but my account seemed to have been wiped, so I figured I'd start afresh! And this time I'm gonna try to actually socialize instead of lurking.

So hi all! I'm Polka and I like to draw stuff and read about things. I've recently gotten into trying different tea myself, I quite like chai tea and peppermint teas.

This is so true! I find it so hard to make money on Neo. I'm new too, came here for a slightly less competitive environment. I really like strawberry and banana smoothies and recently I've been obsessed with iced peach green tea with lychee jelly. That saved my life during the heatwave xD

I love restocking and waking up in the morning with money in the bank LOL.

It's beautiful, And I can make 5mil a day on Subeta... then go to Neopets and I can only make like 1mil during a year on Neopets ;_; so sad.
