Hi, I'm new to the site! I usually have the mindset of "sell everything ever" (shameless plug for my shop, lol) but I'm wondering if it's better to use my Wizard Tokens at the shop/the carnival. I have 10 20 point tokens and one 50 point token.

And are there other similar items that you have advice on using vs. selling? Thanks!

Hi there and welcome to Subeta! When it comes to Wizard Tokens, it really all depends on what you want out of it. Do you want straight up sP? If so, sell them. If you want a variety of items, use them at the Carnival for game prizes and vending for restockable items, which you can add to various collections or sell in your shop.

If you want to be able to use them, they're good for Carnival games, the Token Shop (when it restocks), and using the vending machines (There's a good guide here at SubetaLodge). In order to use the Wizard Tokens, you need to go to the Wizard Exchange to turn them in.

If you want to sell them as they are, a 20 Point Wizard Token is worth about 32,000 sP and a 50 Point Wizard Token is worth about 95,000 sP. You can also turn them in at the Wizard Exchange that I mentioned and then cash out a different amount, like receive a 100 Point Wizard Token (worth about 240,000 sP) or a 250 Point Wizard Token (worth about 462,000 sP).

You can use the tokens for many things. Newbies generally sell them because it is easy and quick money. You'll always find a buyer as long as you are selling at a reasonable price. Otherwise tokens can be used to buy from the Token Shop and the Carnival games, as you seem to be already informed, but also you can vend with them. People have their preferences about the best vending machine. I personally like Celebration Gift a lot because it gives a lot of food to resell and Pete is asking for them so people buy these food items. You'd also need tokens for buying from the BHH and the Oracle Token Shop. (will edit my post with more info about it)

[edit] seems to have been quicker than me :P So about the Blackheart Hollow, it is a shop that restocks one item a few times a day. The price is in tokens so you need to redeem your tokens for buying from it. You can't go to the BHH page too often otherwise Maleria (the Dark Goddess) will kick you out, saying the message "Oh No! ... oh no! Maleria has said you've been hanging around the Blackheart Hollow too much! I'll have to ask you to leave :( ". The limit is checking the page for a maximum of 3 times per hour (so about every 20 minutes). You can keep a track of the restocks on this thread.

The Oracle Token Shop is a shop that restocks at midnight Subeta Time exactly. You get a bunch of boxes with prices in tokens. You don't know what's in there. You get to be quick because the boxes get all sold out very quickly.

But to be honest, as you're new - and welcome by the way - you should not settle on those two "shops", just think about either selling your tokens, keeping some for the Token Shop restocks (once a week) and vending and you'll be just fine. :)

the Token Shop didn't used to stock very regularly for many years, and has only started doing this once a week thing for the lsst few months. I'd take the advice on prices of WT from the above two folks with a grain of salt because the price of WT has been inching up.

To get the most sP from your WT it pays to have some out there the day it restocks. Users will pay a higher price in order to get these items because many of them are pretty cool and some haven't been around for years.

I personally always keep 15,000-20,000 Tokens safe in my bank just in case, the rest I sell or use for vending depending on my mood.
