So, July 4th. Independence Day. The day when Americans such as myself go out to celebrate the independence of our country by...blowing shit up. And eating a lot of hot dogs and hamburgers (veggie ones for me tyvm) and potato salad and deviled eggs and popsicles and other things that are not that great for us.

This year I'm actually going to a party at a coworker's house and bringing two of my other friends along. Her parents have a house on a lake (hence my ha) and they're having food and boating and fun. I don't get to go until 8:30/9:00 at night though, as my friend works until 8:00. But I think it'll still be fun.

What do you do to celebrate usually? What are you doing this year? Gonna blow some sparkly shit up?

I'm doing the same thing I do every year: stay home with my family, eat a bunch of food, and in the evening, go outside and watch other people blow shit up. Don't know where everybody gets all the fireworks but they never fail to disappoint! :D We might light up some sparklers as well, we just discovered a bunch of them.

I typically spend 4th of July with my relatives. We meet up at my grandma's house and do family stuff. It works out well for me because my cousins on my mom's side are basically the same age as me and most of us share similar interests, so score. We are pretty American because we also grill food, my cousins buy fireworks, and then we set them off at night. I plainly state at night because some people have this stupid enjoyment by shooting off fireworks during the midday. Is that a thing everywhere or just where I'm from, I have no idea!?

We're celebrating on the 3rd this year cause I think some of my relatives are leaving for vacation on the 4th. I'll be bringing my boyfriend with me. He missed the past several family events cause of work, and for some reason my relatives miss him so much and really want him there. My boyfriend doesn't understand why my relatives are so obsessed with him, but then again neither do I lol. At least he luckily has the day off so he'll be able to go xD

Not sure if I have plans on the 4th or not. Maybe I'll get some friends over at my house?? I dunno? I'll just wing it.

This is strangely going to be my first fourth of July, that might actually turn out to be pretty relaxed. My husband and I are hoping to just have some friends over, have a couple drinks together, barbecue, play some games, and set off some little fireworks. ♥ Usually, I spent fourth of July at my father's. He lived by a lake that always put on a pretty decent show. However, my step mother and him split and he's no longer living there. It is definitely going to be a bit different.

My husband, a good and I are heading to my bestie's family's house at Lake Tahoe! We might be picking up some giant inflatable things to play on in the lake, but mostly, I think we're going to climb trees and eat delicious things and drink a lot of wine. :D

I'm going to be trekking around the 4th of July celebration my town holds every year with my Dad. This year, I'm taking an umbrella. XD Then if the fireworks are longer than last year's ten minutes, fireworks that night.

I have to work. My company doesn't believe in holidays or weekends...unless you work at their corporate office. After that though I'm off to a coworkers BBQ. Gonna make tikka masala spiced ribs.

My idiot neighbors have been shooting shit off during the day this whole week. And I'm not talking children either - it's grown-ass adults. Ugh, idiots. Scaring my poor cats half to death.

I have to work this year. No fireworks for me for a second year in a row. :x

I'm spending a few days with my best friend at her parent's house. I haven't seen her since New Years, so I'm super excited. We're probably going to a cookout at one of her relative's house then we're going to see fireworks some where. I invited the guy I'm seeing to come with us and I'm hoping he can go. I did forget one little detail when I invited him. He's colorblind...

I'm going to a party with my boyfriend and his sister. Her friends bought a house so they're throwing a big party. There are going to be fireworks too. :)

My parents are coming to visit me, which will be super fun!

I'm hoping to do nothing major other than eat food. I don't like 4th of July very much.. Mostly because it's always disgustingly hot out and it doesn't mix well with food/family activities. For the past 3 years I've been going to a parade and big family thing with my boyfriend's side of the family. This year I guess we aren't going to that, and are having something small at our house(well his parents house, we live with them) since his mom works and stuff.. So I'll be happy with that.

My partner and I were trying to go camping for the Fourth, but we got to the campsite reservations a little too slow. Now we have no plans so I'm relying on our friends to let us know where the party's at.

As usual, I intend to drink a lot of beer and eat a lot of hot dogs and I hope my partner will do the same, as he doesn't normally have this holiday off of work. This time, he has a three-day weekend!

Going to hang out with my fiance and his family. Apparently, they go all out with fireworks. O.o

I'm working all day, sadly. :C However, since we won't be busy, there's a chance I will be cut from the floor early (I'm a server lol). I doubt I would have plans if I got off at a decent time.
